My blog page contains the content element Blog Posts and is set to display the full content, however when you visit the page, it only reveals the page title and a “read more” link.
Here is a screen shot of the blog posts settings:
The login credentials I am giving you below are for a participant – these are not full admin credentials. The reason being, this is a membership based site and in order for you to see what I’m seeing on the page, you need to be logged in as a participant – not an admin.
There are conditional settings on this page, based on the membership level of the participant. Those are working properly.
I am just unable to get the page to reveal the full content.
After you login, please visit the Daily Lessons page: http://www.thecynergisticlife.com/daily_lessons/
This is the blog page for the site.
If after you find you need admin rights, please let me know and I’ll change the settings for this login, but I’m hoping that the screen shot will show you what you need to know.
I appreciate your help, thank you!April 5, 2015 at 3:43 pm #423653Hi beezdezines!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Did you use the advance layout builder to create the page? Any elements or contents created in the advance layout builder will not display in the blog overview page so you need to add an excerpt in the excerpt meta box.

I forgot to mention that not all shortcodes will display on the blog overview page because they tend to break the layout of the page. Why did you add a blog posts element as excerpt? You need to create an excerpt for the posts, not the page, without any shortcodes, just plain text for the blog overview page. Unfortunately, we don’t provide support for third party plugins. Please contact the plugin author.
Cheers!
IsmaelApril 7, 2015 at 10:54 pm #425001Hi Ismael – you told me to add the blog posts element as an excerpt: “add an excerpt in the excerpt meta box”
If I misinterpreted this, please let me know.
I’m not having an issue with the third-party plugin, I just want the recent blog posts to show up correctly – and all I’m getting is the title and “read more” even though I have it selected for “full content”April 9, 2015 at 7:22 am #425721Hey!
I meant that you need to add excerpts on the posts, not on the blog overview page. The blog posts are displaying here: http://www.thecynergisticlife.com/daily_lessons/
The posts don’t display any excerpt or summary because you use the advance layout builder to build the post. Add an excerpt in this post: http://www.thecynergisticlife.com/welcome-cynergistic/
Please take some time to review all of the resources in the Theme Documentation. A lot of basic stuff like theme installation, element configuration, options overview, css snippets and whole lot of handy stuff regarding the theme are probably available in there. You can watch video tutorials or get hold of a few hooks and filter functions that may help you modify the theme as you like. You can also search the forum for any related questions or issues.

IsmaelApril 9, 2015 at 8:53 pm #426188Thanks Ismael.
I just changed the posts page to Default Editor and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for your help.April 10, 2015 at 8:03 am #426402March 3, 2016 at 2:25 am #592379Hello – I think I am encountering a similar issue…I would like to use the Avia Layout Builder on each individual post, AND I would like the FULL content of the post to display on the main blog page. However, when I try this, no content displays on the summary page, just the read more link.
I have tried setting both the home page to display full content of blog posts, through the WP general settings and I have tried a sample page where I choose BLOG POSTS from the visual editor and choose to show FULL CONTENT, yet only the featured image displays.
This problem is only displaying for the first post, as all the rest were created in a different installation and imported here, so they are not built in the Avia Builder.
Thanks for the clarification!
March 4, 2016 at 12:07 am #593045Unfortunately, it seems that also if you use the Advanced Layout Editor, then the social sharing buttons do not show at the bottom of the post. So these two things together make the Advanced Layout editor unusable for the blog portion for us. Thankfully you have included shortcodes, to easily add things like videos, but I’m wondering if these bugs can be worked out to make the Advanced Editor more of a benefit? Thank you!
