Hi I am having hard times to customize the blog of a website. Actually I need to show the posts ina grid format. I can choose it form teh Enfold general settings. I also understand how I can modify the numebr of columns. However what I would like is to show category / picture/ title / date /content. I need content as I created each post with Avia Layout Buiilder, and with the Avia excerpt doesn’t work. Hence I was just adding a <!-more–> link in teh text to create a sort of excerpt.
I also tried to create a normal page, saved with the template “archive”, and then adding the avia element “blog posts”: again the same problem. It loads excerpt (but only if the posts are created without avia layout builder) but not content.
Actually this solution works fine with all of the blog styles except grid layout, for which content is not loaded.
How can I manage it?
ThanksDecember 19, 2016 at 11:16 pm #726324Hey Elena,
I think showing category / picture / title / date / content is achievable by blog grid, you can see in the demo as example: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-grid/
Do you have some draft how you want it to look like?
Best regards,
NikkoDecember 21, 2016 at 4:12 pm #727112Hi Nikko, yes you are right. I achieved the same result, but only with posts written with the standard view. If, on the contrary, I edit a post using the avia layout builder, the short text disappears completely from the blog-grid. Are you aware of it?
Actually it is fine for simple posts, but in the case I would need to build a post template with avia layout builder, then it is a pity that the text excerpt does not appear in blog grid.
December 27, 2016 at 4:45 pm #728273Hi,
that’s expected behavior, as you’ll lose any default WP settings when using ALB for blogposts. On the other hand using ALB you have all freedom to create any layout you can imagine.
However, feel free to make a feature request for Kriesi here: https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
Best regards,
Andy -
