Hello,
I’ve just set up my blog. Before, I used wordpress and the theme only to have a homepage of static pages. Now I’ve got an issue with the masonry on the blog page. It only displays the headlines of the entries, but no text excerpts. I set the masonry element to display the headline and a text excerpt. I set the masonry to flexible masonry, but tried also other settings. None of them worked: No excerpts displayed. I thought the issue might be caused by using the special headline followed by a text field and so tried to set the headline with <h3>headline</h3> in the textfield itself. Did not work. Can you help?July 29, 2017 at 6:23 am #831396July 29, 2017 at 12:53 pm #831463Hey Mike,
great, manual excerpts work as discribed. Thank you so much! Now I’m missing a more-tag to tell readers that there’s a full entry when they click. Would be nice to have that. Is there a solution for that? Masonry element obviously has no setting for that like blog post element has.
Best regards

July 29, 2017 at 2:57 pm #831484Hi,
The manual excerpts box doesn’t allow shortcodes or html, so a link or button doesn’t work there, but since clicking any part of the excerpt sends you to the post how about just typing “…Read More” at the end of the excerpt?Best regards,

A very good idea, just to type “Read More”! The solution is okay for me. Without any hint some people might not be conscious about the real length of the entry and that they just have to click to find more.
For another different issue I will open another thread.
Best regards,
