Hello,
After the last update, my blog is showing ‘NEWS’ category too although in the blog element in Avia Layout Builder, I have deselected it.Can you please tell me how to hide this category on the blog page ( http://www.xandrianoir.com/blog ) but only show on the News page ( http://www.xandrianoir.com/news )?
Thanks

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

XNSeptember 20, 2017 at 1:37 pm #854354Hi XN,
I don’t see the pages from News category on the blog page. Did you get it solved? It could have been a cache issue.

I thought you meant posts from that category, not the category widget in the sidebar.
You need to edit the themes/enfold/includes/admin/register-widget-area.php file to exclude the news category.Or here is another solution here

VictoriaSeptember 22, 2017 at 8:00 am #855222Thank you Victoria for your reply. This is a bit confusing for me . I am not a developer, sorry. Is there an easy way or a css code that I can insert instead?

XandriaSeptember 22, 2017 at 11:59 am #855339Hi Xandria,
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css
.cat-item.cat-item-162 { display: none; }
If you need further assistance please let us know.

XandriaSeptember 25, 2017 at 10:35 am #856406Hi Xandria,
The blog page is a page you built with the Advanced Layout Builder and the /news page is a category page which is using a different template. To customize it you need to add code to functions.php. Here is a thread for you to consider

VictoriaSeptember 25, 2017 at 10:47 am #856412Hi Victoria,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I created both pages with Advanced Layout Builder. I just checked I did not set the sidebar on the News page. Once I just set it to right sidebar, the look turned into my Blog page :))
And I added the excerpts in the excerpt area too.Sorry for my stupidity.
Regards,
Xandria
