    Hi there,

    We are using the following blog layout: Single Author, big preview Pic
    And the following single post style: Single post with big preview image (featured image)

    We would like the featured image to stretch the whole way across the column.
    Please could you let me know the width that it needs to be?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the link, though the featured image is displaying 100% of the width on the page in private. Do you mean that you want that page to be full width? If so then please try to not display the sidebar by selecting not to show one in the Layout menu on the edit page.

    Hi Rikard,

    Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, I know the image is displaying full width. This is because the image is HUGE. I would like to know what width – in pixels – an image should be to display full width? So that I am not creating unnecessarily large image files.

    Hi Andrea,

    Ah ok, sorry about that. With the layout you are using now I would recommend that you keep them around 850 pixels wide.
