Hi, I’m trying to get all the blog elements left aligned on the MAIN blog page as well as the individual pages and HIDE the featured image too – I’ve added in CSS bits I’ve found in other queries on here but they don’t seem to be doing the trick.
Also, on the home page I add in the sidebar for the news posts but it ends up at the bottom of the page and not on the RHS as it needs to be? I’ve tried changing the width of the other elements on the page to no avail. Again please can you advise.
November 21, 2015 at 1:55 am #540023Hi!
1. Can you post a screenshot/mockup of what would you want to achieve?
2. The sidebar issues is caused because a fullwidth slider is present in the layout, there’s an incompatibility between fullwidth elements and sidebar, you can either turn the slider into a non-fwd element like a easy slider or get rid of the sidebar altogether and switch to a entirely ALB layout using columns and widget elements.

1. I can’t seem to attach images to show what I mean, but basically if you go to the news page, the featured image shows still for each story – I want to remove the featured image completely from each news story?
Also, the revolution slider plug in which comes with the theme needs updating – how do I do this without losing all the existing sliders? I updated the enfold theme entirely and it didn’t update the slider?
Thank you

1. Are you referring to the news listing view or the news single view? please upload the image to dropbox or imgur then post the link here.
2. RevSlider is not bundled with the theme, you’d need to update it separately and you shouldn’t worry about data loss as that’s saved in the DB.

JosueNovember 26, 2015 at 11:38 am #543007Hi Josue, on both the listing view and the single view.
When you view the single view, the date is in the centre of the page but everything is left aligned as it should be.
You can see for yourself here:

http://dev.schuberts.co.uk.46-37-171-38.mywebsitelink.co.uk/news/RevSlider was originally bundled with the theme as that’s how I got it? I’m confused! So how do I update it separately without having to buy it outright?
Thank you
Sarah
December 1, 2015 at 2:53 am #544943Hey!
1.) Add this in the Quick CSS field to left align the post meta infos:
#top .fullsize .template-blog .post-meta-infos { text-align: left; }
2.) Like what Josue said, the rev slider plugin isn’t bundled with the theme, only the layer slider plugin is included. You have to purchase a separate license for the revolution slider plugin.
Cheers!
IsmaelDecember 2, 2015 at 2:59 pm #545894Hi thank you for this but it still shows the avatar image – how do I remove this please?
December 2, 2015 at 3:11 pm #545896Hi, also I have created a full width layer slider and it gets hidden behind the right hand side –
December 4, 2015 at 12:40 pm #546921That’s behavior is expected, a FWD slider is not meant to be used within a Text Block element.

JosueJanuary 20, 2016 at 6:26 pm #568800Hi I seem to be having a new issue with the website – when viewed on some screens the main naviagtion goes onto two lines, which is fine, BUT it is hidden behind/overlaps the full width easy slider on the page – please can you advise?
