Hi,
I have a questions for the functionality of your theme. On my blog site I want to use the “Blog Grid”.
I draw a specific picture for each category for showing it in the Blog Grid view. This icon doesn’t have to be shown in my article, so I think I have to put it as “Featured Image” in my post. Now is it possible, that on my Blog Grid is shown the newest post of each category? I have 6 different.
Lots of thanks!

Thank you for visiting the support forum.
Unfortunately, you can’t sort the posts by latest posts on each category. Please refer to the order and ordery by parameter of wp query: http://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query#Order_.26_Orderby_Parameters

IsmaelJuly 20, 2014 at 11:42 am #293594OK, so in which file is the definition of the blog grid?
As I understand I have to change the code in the blog grid side?Is it possible to hire somebody from your team to change that or do I have to find a freelancer?
July 21, 2014 at 4:01 am #293705Hi!
If you’re using the blog grid layout, edit config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes > postslider.php file. I’ll ask the rest of the support team to check the thread. Maybe they are available. If not, please hire a freelance developer to modify the blog for you.
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 24, 2014 at 12:54 pm #308436Hi,
I have to pick up this thread again.
I always set on my blog grid the same picture for a specific category,
So I have to choose this specific categorie image as “Feature Image” for this article and remove the feature image from the post.
But I think it would be better to chose a typical picture from that post as feature image e.g. to use that to post my feature image and the first words to facebook, or that google knows that they belong together.
So if I choose the category for that aricle it could be automatically clear, that the categorie picture is shown on my blog grid and I can free chose a feature image.
Where can I change this?August 28, 2014 at 7:31 am #310271Hey!
If you use a SEO plugin like WordPress SEO you can set the image-to-be-shared separately from the Featured Image.

thanks for your answer! But I don’t understand really, what you mean.
I am using WordPress SEO by Yoast and in the settings I can set a defined pictuere for my social posts.
But I want to use the enfold blog grid with fixed category pictures.
Under each category picture should the title of the newest written blog article of this category.October 19, 2014 at 12:35 am #337752Hey!
That would require modifying the default WordPress featured image functionality, check out these plugins:

JosueOctober 19, 2014 at 4:52 pm #337968Hi Josue,
sorry, that’s not what I want.
I want that my blog-side should look like this:
So I have for each category the another picture.
But I also want to use the function of the featured image, which isn’ t always the same!
I hope, you can see now, what I want…- This reply was modified 10 years, 1 month ago by sunshineh.

thanks for that tipp, it was great!
But I have the problem, that I only want to see the heading of the blog, but I only can choose between different blog styles and text styles.
Every time I can see the featured image and an excert or the hole text.
I want to say that my article has an featured image, because I use this for twitter and facebook.October 20, 2014 at 9:33 am #338224Hi!
I’m sorry but what do you mean by “I only want to see the heading of the blog”? A screenshot will help. Please visit Envato Studio or Werkpress for further customization.
Cheers!

I’m sorry but there is no available option for that. To better understand your request, we would like to see the actual blog page. Please post it here. Note that you can enable the “Don’t display image on single post” if you don’t want to show the featured image on single post view.
Cheers!

Thank you for the link. Add this on Quick CSS or custom.css to remove the featured image of the post slider:
.page a.slide-image { display: none !important; }

IsmaelNovember 6, 2014 at 12:35 pm #347058Thanks a lot for your help and know it is/was working as I wanted to.
But unfortunately I have to change my look of the blog.
So my new requirements are:
-Look as the Demo Enfold “Blog Single Author Small”
-but with the category picture on the left and not the featured image or the Author imageHow is it possible?
Is it also possible to make this small picture a little bit bigger? Thanks a lot!!!
November 7, 2014 at 11:41 am #347667Hi!
I’m sorry but if you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.
Thanks!
Regards,
