Hey createthemes,
Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. Also, on what page are you having these problems?
Thanks,
RikardSeptember 23, 2015 at 12:14 am #507424Thanks. I’ve created a login for you.
It’s all the actual blog posts that are a problem. Posts are displayed on http://dev.cocohills.co.nz/blog/ For example, there is no option for visitors to comment on http://dev.cocohills.co.nz/cocohills-location/
September 23, 2015 at 7:28 am #507519Hi,
I see that you have created that post with the Advanced Layout Builder so it’s the expected behaviour, creating posts with the builder will make a post act more or less like a page. You can add the Comments element to it though or save it in the default editor and comments should show up again.
Regards,
RikardSeptember 24, 2015 at 3:47 am #508143Thanks for that – I added the comments and the functionality showed on the front end as I want it to.
When you say “save it in the default editor and comments should show up again” do you mean addign some code to appearance > editor > ?
September 24, 2015 at 7:10 am #508183Hey!
No he means switch to the default editor ( not the ALB ) so you will been seen on the text area our shortcodes.
When you same the behavior will switch back.Best regards,
BasilisSeptember 28, 2015 at 12:07 am #509758I’ve decided to go with the ALB as I prefer the functionality. I have added the comments element to two post which I uploaded last week. Today, I created two more blog posts but on the blog page they are not displaying the date or the number of comments. I can’t see any differences in how the posts have been created. Do you know what the difference is caused by? http://dev.cocohills.co.nz/blog/
September 28, 2015 at 3:12 pm #510145Hey!
when using ALB for blog posts you have all the freedom, but need to use it as well, because no date, number of comments etc. will be displayed automatically like when using normal editor. You need to add everything from scratch with ALB.
Best regards,
AndySeptember 28, 2015 at 10:18 pm #510421Thanks, Andy. The problem is that I’m using the same method and getting two different results. I have used the ALB for all blog posts but 2 of them are not displaying the date and number of comments on the /blog page.
September 29, 2015 at 6:23 pm #510913Hi!
like I already said: using ALB you won’t have any date or number of comments. You need to add those items manually.
Please use standard WordPress editor instead.Best regards,
Andy -
