    Hey guys,

I’ve found the following line in my robots.txt:

    Disallow: /wp-content/themes/enfold/index.php

It’s been a while since I fiddled with the settings of that file, but can’t remember that I wrote that nor, if so, why. Also, I am using a child-theme. I don’t see any benefit of blocking the index.php of the parent-theme, but as I’m unsure I rather ask if there would be any positive effect of doing so?

As always, thanks for your help!

    Best regards,
    eC

    Hey eC,
Perhaps at one time you were getting errors on direct php files in the Google Search Console, so you were advised to use this because the Google bot should not be accessing those files directly.

    Best regards,
    Mike
