    Hi,

My site will intermittently go down and just display a “White Screen of Death”, if you will. It’s a completely blank page. It’ll last for a few minutes and then go back up a few minutes later. And then a few minutes later it goes down again. It has been going through this cycle a few times now. I called my hosting provider and they said there’s nothing wrong with the servers on their end. He suggested to ask the developers of the theme, so here I am. The only thing I can think of is that I just updated to the current version of the Enfold Theme. My hosting provider mentioned it might also have to do with some PHP refreshing or something? I’m not too sure.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Hi zm1128!

The best thing to do would be to check the server logs which is where any errors would get dumped. I hate to suggest going right back where you just came from but if you talk to your hosting provider and ask where/how to check your logs that would be where I would start.

When you get the white screen you can also try viewing the source of the page and see what – if anything – loads into the page.

    Regards,
    Devin

    Hi,

What I ended up doing was logging in through FTP and replacing the enfold theme folder. It seems to be working as of now. So that worked for me, but thanks for your help!

EDIT: Never mind, it’s down again. When I view the page source it looks like this:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>

Seems to be a hosting (GoDaddy) error but I’m not sure. When I called them the first message was “If you’re having a problem with your hosting, we are aware of it and are working to fix the problem”

    Hi!

Ok, please let us know if GoDaddy can’t fix the issue.

    Regards,
    Peter
