Hi,
I updated a few websites to version 4.2.5 and they are all blank now. I saw other threads with similar issues but no fix. Can someone please take a look at this or send me a fix? I linked both websites and FTP for the moderator. The first website I disabled all plugins for testing but in the end they all should be activated and working.
Please don’t touch the other websites associated with this login, just the two I mention. Thanks!
Cheers,

March 3, 2018 at 3:14 pm #920820Hey CodeSamurai,
Sorry but the domains don’t seem to be resolving with ftp2.domain.com or http://ftp.domain.com
please check the ftp address.
Also it seems that the wp login page is working, can we login to the admin panel?Best regards,
MikeMarch 3, 2018 at 4:13 pm #920836Hi,
we found the problem in the folder config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/
The file events_countdown.php is in this folder and in the folder config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/
2 same functions are the death for the site.
In the current version 4.2.5 is this file only in this folder: config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/
We found also the contact.php, the countdown.php, the buttons.php, the buttons_fullwidth.php, the cataloque.php, the hr.php, the icon.php, the iconbox.php and the iconlist.php 2 times.
The best way to solve the problem is to delete the whole folder config-templatebuilder and to load up the folder from the current version 4.2.5
Regards
BiggyMarch 3, 2018 at 4:39 pm #920839Hi,
@Biggy thanks for your solution, I will look for this situation and report it when I confirm. Can I ask, when you had updated and this occurred, how did you update ftp or though the admin panel? and which version were you updating from? I would like to reproduce this error.Best regards,
MikeMarch 3, 2018 at 4:46 pm #920842Hi Mike,

BiggyMarch 3, 2018 at 5:20 pm #920856March 3, 2018 at 6:09 pm #920870Hi,
@Biggy, I was able to reproduce and have reported it to the rest of the team. Thanks again for sharing.Best regards,
MikeMarch 3, 2018 at 7:51 pm #920888Hi Mike,
I’m resending the FTP host name. You have to type it exactly as I have it. Please don’t try to change the text to match the domain name, it is exactly how I wrote it. If you need the WP admin in addition to the FTP I will create one for you.
I also tried deleting the config-templatebuilder folder as Biggy suggested and I replaced it with the same folder from another website that has the 4.2.5 version that appears to be working, but unfortunately the didn’t fix the website. Anything else I can try in the meantime?
Thanks!

DerekMarch 3, 2018 at 8:50 pm #920895Hi,
Please try downloading a new copy of v4.2.5 from Theme Forest and delete your parent theme folder: enfold then upload the new one.
Perhaps it is a similar issue with you but a different file.
How did you update the theme the first time, FTP or admin panel?
Does your webhost have cacheing at the server level?Best regards,
MikeMarch 3, 2018 at 9:16 pm #920902Hi,
Do you have Wordfence? That maybe preventing loading of JS files within the uploads folder, Try to disable Wordfence or other security plugins.Best regards,
MikeMarch 3, 2018 at 10:38 pm #920911Hi,
I downloaded the newest version of Enfold, deleted the version via FTP from the website, and then uploaded the Enfold folder that I downloaded. I then also deactivated all plugins and unfortunately same issue. The website URL that’s still having the problem is in the private content section.
Also, originally when this problem happened is when I did the update through the WordPress backend/admin where you can update themes.
Is there anything else I can try? Thanks!

DerekMarch 4, 2018 at 2:53 am #920930Hi Mike,
If I delete the folder “avia-shortcodes”, I can get something to show on the website. I then tried replacing the folder with a fresh folder from the newest Enfold download. Once that’s done the website loads a little, however, the design is still wonky so it doesn’t work fully. I tried then saving the theme Enfold options through the WordPress admin and the website goes blank again.

March 4, 2018 at 4:23 pm #921077Hi,
@CodeSamurai I see that site 2 (Ashford) is now running v4.2.5 was this solved by replacing the enfold folder via ftp? As I look back it seems you wrote that it was updated via the admin panel? It looks as you are using v3.6.1 for the first site, the same method didn’t help this site?
As I understand this is a production site that can’t be down, Please try creating a staging / testing site on a sub-domain with a copy of your site. This will allow you to test updates without effecting your production site, it will also allow us to help debug.
Two good tools for migration to a staging site is Duplicator and All-in-One WP Migration Both have many videos on YouTube explaining the process.Best regards,
MikeMarch 4, 2018 at 11:39 pm #921242Hi Mike,
For Ashford I had replaced the entire Enfold installation via FTP. At first I had the same issue but then it started working later for some reason, don’t know why. I tried the same method for the other website (Wallick) and it didn’t fix the problem. I tried deactivating all the plugins, switching themes, etc. but nothing worked. I ended up just using an older version of the Enfold theme and replaced it via FTP.
What’s interesting is that some websites work with the update to v4.2.5 and some don’t. I have development/staging sites and when I tested it worked. I use the exact same servers as I’m on a cloud environment so the update gave the impression that everything would work.
March 5, 2018 at 6:52 pm #921685Hi,
As a temporary workaround, please use the solution posted on this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/disable-new-minify-merging-for-css-and-js-avia-merged-styles/#post-921266
