Hello,
My website was fully functional a few weeks ago until it went down due to an issue with the hosting company. Since then, it has been sorted and the website back up and running. However, somehow, two of the pages have lost all the information in it.
This isn’t too much of a problem as “Resume” was just a few images and logos of places I worked and “Contact” was simply one of the pre-existing templates I used in the options given. The problem is, when I go to “Edit” the pages, it doesn’t allow me to and the box below has the “swirly” symbol (as in processing/waiting).
I thought it might be my computer or browser error but I have used several others and the problem still exists.
Please let me know how I can fix this issue.
Thank you.Regards,
FarNovember 20, 2015 at 9:15 pm #539922Hey Faroutworld!
Is it just those pages? Does it work fine if you delete and recreate the page?

ElliottNovember 21, 2015 at 12:07 am #540005Hi Elliott,
Yes, just those two pages. And I tried creating a new page and it does the same thing. I can’t seem to create a new page even, it just has the “swirly” symbol again. Not sure what is going on, any help and advice would be appreciated.
If you want, I can give you my user details for you to have a perusal… see if everything is working on your side…?
Thanks
November 21, 2015 at 6:52 pm #540203Hi!
Let’s try the following.
1. Deactivate all plugins.
2. Completely delete Enfold from your WordPress theme directory before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest. After doing this you should be using version 3.4.4.
If the above two steps does not help then send us a WordPress login and we’ll take a closer look.
Best regards,
ElliottNovember 21, 2015 at 10:08 pm #540260Hello Elliot,
Thanks for that. Sorry if I sound a little thick, I’m not very technologically minded. But if I delete Enfold from WordPress and upload a new one, will I lose my whole site and all the information? Or will everything still be fine? I just don’t want to do something and find that it is irreversible.
Thanks.
RegardsNovember 22, 2015 at 10:00 pm #540444Hi!
if you have not do any modifications to the theme, you can replace the files. Any settings will be there, and not replaced.
Please let us know if you moved forward with that.

BasilisNovember 30, 2015 at 9:51 pm #544818Hello. I did step 1 but I’m really sorry, I don’t know how to delete Enfold from theme directory. Where do I find the theme directory and what do I do or click to delete it.
Then how do I download and upload a fresh copy from themeforest? Will it not ask me to pay for the theme again?
ThanksDecember 1, 2015 at 1:01 pm #545119Hi,
Here’s a guide to updating the theme: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Simply overwriting it with a fresh copy should have the same effect as deleting/re-uploading.
Thanks,
RikardDecember 1, 2015 at 8:09 pm #545540I’m really sorry but I tried following all the various methods and the links and folders do not seem to work.
Firstly, the folder I download (the wordpress only file) does not have a zip file for me to open.
Secondly, the video clip I try to follow, the screens are not the same as mine. For example, “Appearance”, “Themes” then “Install”. I do not have an install option. Just an “Install plugins”.
Please help. Nothing matches what you give me.
RegardsDecember 1, 2015 at 9:06 pm #545570Ok, I have tried to update using the username/api key method. I clicked “save updates” and not sure whether it processed or stalled as it did not refresh the page.
From what it says on my dashboard, apparently now I am on version 4.3.1.
“WordPress 4.3.1 running Enfold theme.” Whether that means I am on it or whether that is the current WordPress option, I have no idea.
Please help and clarify.
RegardsDecember 1, 2015 at 9:14 pm #545576I have this message:
“Theme Updates
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! Great!”
So it seems I have the latest version. However, I am still experiencing the same problems. I cannot change any templates nor can I add a new page so as to start a fresh new one.
What else can I try please?

RikardFebruary 5, 2016 at 11:06 pm #578831Hi Rikard,
Please take a look at what could be the problem. It has been a few months now and I can’t seem to fix it on my own.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Kind regardsFebruary 7, 2016 at 5:35 pm #579198Hi,
Thanks, I have now fixed and resolved the problem.
However, now I have another problem as a result of the problem being fixed! I know it’s never ending…..
On every page, the screen is not fixed, ie it scrolls too far up and therefore the link headings get lost in the name title.
How do I position it (especially the home page) so that it doesn’t scroll up and down so easily?
Kind regards
February 7, 2016 at 9:32 pm #579244Hi!
I have loaded your web site and navigated around, but I could not actually find the issue you are having,.
Can you maybe share a screenshot with us?Best regards,
BasilisFebruary 7, 2016 at 9:58 pm #579251Unfortunately I had fixed the initial problem (my “Resume” and “Contact” pages issue) but now that problem seems to be back!!!!! Ie, they are blank again!! Where does the information I have on there keep going? Don’t worry about that.. I think I’ll try to fix that problem myself tonight or tomorrow.
However, what I mean by the “scrolling” problem is, let’s say on my HOME page I just want the screen to be static, fixed. Ie, I don’t want there to be any movement if I scroll the mouse up or down. But as you can see, the picture goes slightly out when I do.
For example, if I scroll too far down, I hide the “© 2015 – FarOutWorld.com – All Rights Reserved” which I don’t want to do. When I scroll up, then I lose the top part of the picture (it gets ‘underlapped’ by the header).
I’d like the screen to be from the top to bottom: the header, the picture/s and the © 2015 – FarOutWorld.com – All Rights Reserved in one screen, without movement.
For pages like “Bio”, “Gallery” obviously I do want to be able to scroll up and down as the pages are designed in such a way that there is information below… but for “Showreel”, “Resume”,”Contact” and especially “Home” I don’t want the user to be able to scroll up or down as you should be able to see what’s on screen in it’s full entirety without scrolling.
I tried changing with “Enfold” “Header Behaviour” etc and even size of the pixels but wasn’t really achieving any results.
Hope you can help and I hope that makes a little more sense.
Thanks in advance.February 8, 2016 at 5:31 am #579339Ok, that was problem 2. I’m back with trying to fix Problem 1.
If you go into any edit screen/page of mine… it won’t allow you to change anything. No upload of images, no change of templates, nothing. This is frustrating because I had it fixed after I updated to version 4.2.2 but it only lasted for 30 minutes before then deleting my “Resume” and “Contact” pages again. Now they are blank again and this has been the case now since last year..
Just to add, you can see that when you go in to edit the pages via “Pages” there is a “swirly image” in the middle of the screen. Kind of like a processing symbol. But it’s constant and never changes. What is that ‘swirly’ image, what does it mean? Whenever that image is on WordPress, I know there is nothing I can do to change or update.
Please help.
February 9, 2016 at 1:54 am #579994Ok… I’ve fixed both problems….
Problem 2. The scrolling issue was sorted by just the checkbox “Unstick Topbar” under Header Behaviour.
Problem 1. The info on my “Resume” and ” Contact” pages have reappeared when I updated my plugins and theme to the latest version.
HOWEVER! Now a 3rd problem has arisen… I know, surprise surprise right.
You can see now, my title header has completely disappeared on my homepage and my links are now a quarter of the way into the screen and not at the top at all anymore. Please help.
February 10, 2016 at 7:21 am #580847Hi!
The title and breadcrumbs container will be disabled when you set the page to have a transparent header which seems to be the case here. Did you set the header to transparent?
Cheers!
IsmaelFebruary 10, 2016 at 4:20 pm #581216No, I didn’t. But whatever I do (transparency or not), why is the screen overlapping? My headers, breadcrumbs are in the main frame of the screen when they should not be. They should be at the top and the photos/main screen below the breadcrumbs. That’s how it was before.
I’m really stuck now. I had thankfully backed up my files of the website and if I restore them then I go back to the original site but which had the problem of having my Resume and Contact pages blank but which also disallow me to make any updates or amendments as I constantly get the ‘swirly’ processing icon on every edit page.
Then, if I update to the latest version of WP, the Resume and Contact pages come back, I’m also able to edit pages.. but the site in general is a total mess and I don’t know how to fix it. Either way I go, I get cornered with problems.
Thanks for any help.
February 14, 2016 at 9:18 am #582888Hi!
I disabled the page’s transparency in the page’s Layout > Header visibility and transparency settings and the title container is back as expected: http://www.faroutworld.com/

IsmaelFebruary 14, 2016 at 12:50 pm #582925Hi Ismael,
Thanks so much for doing that. But now there is a huge strip of white bar between the title and the main photo/s. Also the word “Home” appears in the top left when it never did before.
Unfortunately all the other pages still have the previous problem as before…
Please help.
Kind regardsFebruary 20, 2016 at 1:06 am #586360Hello there, I know you must be busy, but please can you help. This problem has been going on since 22nd November 2015.
As you can see from the website, it’s still a complete mess. I will try and clarify, perhaps my query was confusing.
1. The Home page has the word “Home” in the top left hand corner as well as a horizontal white bar which takes up a lot of the screen when it hadn’t before.
2. The rest of the pages/links, the title and breadcrumbs are transparent when they shouldn’t be. Not until you scroll the page down should it go transparent.
Please can you help. I don’t know what else to do and have tried everything.
Kind regards
February 23, 2016 at 10:06 pm #587997Hey!
not sure what you are trying to achieve instead. Your site looks good to me.
1.) You can remove it by editing page in question, then scroll down and look on the right side for “Title Bar Settings”. Choose “hide both”.
2.) I can’t see what you are talking about. Could you already fix it? if not please use screenshots to highlight what’s going on and to show us what you want to achieve

AndyFebruary 24, 2016 at 1:39 am #588087Thanks for your help. Problem 1 is now sorted. Thank you.
For issue number two, the rest of the site is still a mess. What is the easiest way I can send you screenshots?
Kind regards

If I have any more issues I’ll pester you again I’m sure, so sorry in advance!
