Dear Support Team,
I updated my WordPress Core + the Enfold Theme and…BANG…I got a blank page. Even the preview of pages does not work anymore.
Unfortunately, the page displays my Online CV and it’s kind of important to have that running again very fast.
Can you have a quick look what happend?
Thanks,
Michael-

March 26, 2018 at 6:28 am #932803Hi Michael,
I’m sorry for the problems, could you try to delete the entire theme folder and then upload the new version via FTP to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. If that doesn’t work then you can find the previous version in private if you want to roll back.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 26, 2018 at 7:34 am #932822Hi Rickard,
DO you have a chance to upload the theme via ftp for me? . I am on business travel in remote areas of Nepal and happy to get access to a 2G connection.I would really appreciate that.
You got ftp log in.
It’s not important to have the page on the latest wp + theme today. It’s just important that customers can see the page again :-)
March 26, 2018 at 8:26 am #932850Hi,
I have checked your site and it’s difficult to fix since there’s no error logs showing up that caused the 500 Internal Server Error, I tried enabling wordpress debug however it’s also not working, probably error reporting is turned off. But we’re still checking it out.
As for the problem with the update, it’s because the php your using is still 5.3, while Enfold requires atleast 5.6.

I have tried to fix the problem but find it too difficult without the error logs, can you try to ask your web host to check.
Best regards,
NikkoMarch 26, 2018 at 3:26 pm #933042The provider updated to the latest version of php. Should be active in a few minutes.
Does that help?March 27, 2018 at 4:41 am #933326Hi,
Yes, that should help but if your webhost can also turn on displaying errors, that would also help a lot since it’s still in 500 Internal Server Error.

March 27, 2018 at 11:28 am #933580Hi,
I have checked your site again but I can’t do anything with it, even creating a simple html file and show it returns 500 Internal Server Error, when I tested it (march 26), I was able to create test.php with phpinfo and it does display, trying it now returns 500 Internal Server Error. I think only your webhost can help with it.
Best regards,
NikkoMarch 27, 2018 at 11:42 am #933583Thanks for your help!!! I asked the web hoster if they can roll back to last week. Will let you know the result.
Thanks
MichaelMarch 27, 2018 at 5:03 pm #933745Hi Michael,
