    Hi,
    I was wondering if someone could help.
    I have a video on one of our enfold sites, about 30 seconds that loops.
    The problem is that when it loops there is a black flash. The client has a competitor with a site built using something else and their video loops smoothly.
    I have tried hosting on vimeo and YouTube, turned caching off and on, turned script/code minification off and on and nothing seems to help.

    I’ve also tried using some code to change the background colour of the video but I still get the black flash on looping.

    Is there anything you could suggest to help please? Link in private area for confidentiality.

    Hey jonrouse,

    I have checked it and didn’t see a black flash after repeating it several times in Chrome and Windows 10.
    Can you tell us what browser and OS you’re using to view this?

    Hey Nikko,
    I’ve been looking at it in other browsers too since my first message.

    This only seems to be happening in Safari (V12.1 Mac 10.14.4). The strange thing is, that a competitor is using a similar setup, but their video doesn’t have the black flash in Safari. Also watching their video outside the web page, it isn’t happening.

    Could it be something as simple as the other people paying for VimeoPro?

    Hi Nikko,
    Thanks so much for this help!

    You are correct. I added the video to iMovie, removed the audio track, saved, re uploaded to vimeo and added it the site.
    It works! I had given up.

    Your help was more than I expected, sincerely, thank you.
