    Hello,

    I am using Enfold 4.1.2
I encouter issues adding links to fullwidth button in a 1/2 lay-out section on the homepage.
I have, on the homepage, a black, 1/2 lay-out section. In it a mailchimp form and two blue colored fullwitdth buttons beneeth it.

It is impossible for me to get those buttons to link to any kind of link!!
If I add links to the buttons, in the front end they do not work / are activated?

Please your help on this bizar issue.

No other issues with the website… I am confused ;(

    Hey badoes,

Is the problem the contact form? If not then please try to explain a bit further or post a screenshot of the problem.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply!

First of all you need a pc to see the form I am talking about (mobile uses other design). Sorry forgot to tell this. Secondly it is the black mid section with in it a mailchimp form and below two blue buttons. Non of the button links are working.

    Hi,

You have this in the containing element which is causing that:

    margin-bottom: -600px;

Ah, ok. That is to position the black container with in it the mailchimp form and buttons. Any idea how to solve this? Maybe by always showing the element on top? I believe by z-index? I do not know the right css for it.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I tried to put a high z-index on that element but it doesn’t seem to make a difference unfortunately. Maybe you could create that layout some other way? I’m not sure exactly how you have structured it, so if you want us to have a closer look then please post admin login details in private.

    Hi,

Thanks for that, did you try to move the problem content down to the next Color Section instead? That would seem like the more logical place to put it?

    Hi,

I am not sure what you mean? We have put all interaction in one 1/2 element to create onr interactive section. We wanted to play with the design and put it as a kind of overlay over the next section.

Do you mean we have to put the 1/2 content in the next color section and then create again a margin bottom of 600px ?

    Hi,

I’m not sure, but the logical place for that content would be in the next section, don’t you agree? You had to put 600 pixels of margin to get your styling right so that tells you right there that it’s in the wrong place :-)

    Hi

The while idea is to “overlay” the 1/2 element above the color section to create the design effect. Regardless whether I out this column element in the current or next section, Enfold seems not to be able to handle content which is overlayed like this. Once the content in a element is on the same height of content of the 1/2 element cannot be used anymore. That is a pitty cause it prevents creativity that way

    Hi,

I get what you are trying to do, but I’m not sure if it’s possible unfortunately. Maybe you could try to play around with the z-index for the element which is supposed to overlay? That is the only thing I can think of.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
