    Hello Anyone,

we want to bring our customers the possibility to see our website in german and english!
In this forum we saw that the WPML Plugin is recommanded for that!
BUT we saw on other websites, that the grammar with this “1 to 1” translation plugin is not 100% perfect!
Our wish is that we have also in english a PERFECT grammar and it would not be any problem for us to translate it by ourselves!
And there won´t come any additional language in the future (only german and english)!
So is there any possibility to “correct” the grammar ONLY on the translated english “version” or could you recommand us another solution or have a suggestion for us?!

Thanks in advance for your help!!

    Hey Younis_FARES,

I’m not sure what you mean by that, what grammar is wrong in WPML?

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Hello Rikard,

    thank you for your message!
On some websites, that are translated with WPML, we saw that the translated grammar (for example the cases, etc.) is not so perfect!
So we wanted to know if there is a possibility to correct that by ourselves or if there is another suggestion?!
Hope you know what we mean!

    Thanks again for your answer!

    Hey!

You can install this free software – http://poedit.net/ and go to Enfold/lang folder and edit language files and correct grammer mistakes as needed

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Hello Yigit,

thank you for your answer and suggestion!
Do we first need the WPML Plugin and this poedit.net additional?! (or do we only need this pedit for anything?!)

Thanks again for your answer!! :)

    Hi!

Poedit software lets you edit language files. So you can fix grammer issues. It will not let you have multilingual site. You are going to need to use WPML for that :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Ok, thank you Yigit!

So we will download WPML and then additional Poedit to fix the grammar issues!
In the case that we have any problems during the translation and edit process, we will write again in this threat!

    Thank you! :)

    Yigit,

Can be possible to translate without Poedit?

    #522188

    Hey!
WPML enables you to create a version of the site on another language but it will not handle the translation automatically. You have to translate the pages manually. However, you can try their Professional Translation service for additional fees: https://wpml.org/documentation/content-translation/

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hello Ismael,

    thank you for your message!!
I didn´t know that WPML don´t automatically translates my german website to english!
Thanks a lot for that information! So I think I don´t need any additional software like Poedti and translate it with the right grammar by myself!

Thanks a lot for your help and please let this thread open, because if there will be problems during the WMPL translating process I will add it here! :)

do you know, if there is any GOOD FREEWARE alternative for WPML Plugin or not, with what I can add an additional english version of my german website?!

Thanks a lot for your answers!!

    Hey!

The only other one that I know of is QTranslate but I highly recommend WPML instead. Other than that you could create two separate installations but it would be a lot of work.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

Ok, thank you for your answer Elliot!

    So I´ll decide for WPML!!

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Great! Please feel free to open a new ticket here or in the WPML forum should you encounter any issues in the future. Thank you for using Enfold! :)

    Regards,
    Ismael
