I have a 2 minute recording of music that I would like to add to a very long page I am building using the Avia layout builder.
What and how is the smarter approach?
Use soundcloud or the likes or host song on my own server?
And how do I get the song to have a playable interface?
How do I get it on the page?
Thanks

Why not use built in feature?
Thanks for that link.
Do you think it will slow down the load time of a dense page that has a lot of content to add to media library?
or is it inconsequential?
look under ‘preload’ on that page :)
Hi,
Well I uploaded the song file into the media library and I created a promo button and linked to it.
Yes, it plays when the button is clicked, but the problem is that it goes to a new page to play the music and I want the music to play within the same page. So I have yet to figure out how to accomplish that…
Hey!
Can you please post the link to your page where we can see the example?
Cheers!

Sure, here you go:

You can’t miss the bright red button that says “click to listen”
Hey!
you have not embeded a player but a link ( which for me also does not play, seems the file is broken ).
Best regards,
Basilis
Hi,
yes, it is a link to the audio file which is in the media library. It works for me by opening a new page, perhaps because I have permissions?
However it is not a good solution in regardless as I would like to have a player embedded so that there is no page change or opening.
Have you an idea of how to incorporate a simple audio player into the page?
Thanks!
Hi!
You’d need to use a plugin for this, like:

Thanks, I figured out how to use the WordPress built in audio player :-)
