Hello,
We are using the Layer Slider, but it looks messed up: http://ownyourbrain.org/
I thought the dimensions should be 1600x470px. Is this not correct? What are the correct dimensions.
Here are my settings. Are these also incorrect?: http://screencast.com/t/wUeW49Q2LTV
Many thanks!!!
why “Slider width = 1231px” ?
I would keep it 1600px (the size of your slide image.
and “Layers container” nothing.
Hi!
Are you wanting the slider to be fullwidth? If so then set the width to 100% in the slider settings and make sure the “Full Width” option is checked.
Otherwise go ahead and take a screenshot and highlight what your trying to do so we can get a better idea.
Best regards,
Elliott
Hi Elliot,
Thanks for your quick reply!
I have it set as you mentioned, but the image is being “cropped”.
Should I change the settings further, or edit the image?
Here is a screenshot of settings: http://screencast.com/t/3KqUwRnwwh
Thanks!
Hi Elliot,
What is the ideal size that the image should be for the slider?
I have looked at the theme demo and it is using this image (which is 1600×470): http://ownyourbrain.org/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/avia-samples/slide1_Layer_1.png
… but , that background image gets cropped.
Is 1220x470px wide the best dimensions?
Hey!
The layer slider adds a negative top margin and dynamically adjust the width of the background image by default. Not sure why the plugin do that, maybe to compensate, when viewing the slider on different screen devices Instead of adding a background image on the slides, add the image as a layer. Set the width and height on the Styles panel to 100%.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi Ismael,
Good to know :) For now, we resized the image to 1220×358 and it works now.
Thanks!
