Hi there,
I’d like to setup a forum based on your beautiful Enfold theme an BBPress. But unfortuately it is not working correctly
Creating forums and topics is possible but the content in topics isn’t visible (see https://www.smartphonepiloten.de/forums/topic/testthema). The content is
"This is a test topic"
It’s really weird because the replies to the topic are shown without problems.
I already tried deactivating all plugins without BBPress but the problem still exists. Do you have any further information or step I could try?
Thanks & best regards,
Jannik
February 15, 2017 at 12:21 pm #747435Okay, it seems a problem with the description of the topic. Replies are displayed as usual. That’s good! But how about the description – I noticed, it is already not displayed in the Enfold demo here http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/forums/topic/hello-world/
UPDATE: Just switched to WordPress Twenty Seventeen Theme and everything works fine. So it seems to be related to enfold theme.
Thanks again! :)

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- The URL to the login screen.
- A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
- As well as a password for that username.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

February 21, 2017 at 5:07 pm #750044Hi,
the link in private is working fine for me, so I guess it’s just a cache issue. I noticed that you have used a caching plugin. Activate it again, open your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site. Then deactivate it again, as well as all other plugins. Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue.

AndyFebruary 21, 2017 at 5:15 pm #750052Hi Andy,
nope, sorry. It’s not working because the text at the attached link is an additional reply and not the topic description. I’ve just deleted the reply and now the text isn’t visible as in the other topics.
I also tried deactivating caching plugins, but this isn’t working. Maybe you have another idea?!
Best regards,
Jannik
February 21, 2017 at 7:17 pm #750118Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
In addition to that, please let us know if we are allowed to deactivate one or more of your plugins as well for testing purposes :)If that doesn’t help then there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

AndyFebruary 21, 2017 at 11:54 pm #750201Hi Andy,
okay, I just figured it out. It’s a problem with the enfold child theme and the functions.php in the child theme. Don’t know why but with renamed functions.php (to functions.old) everything is fine. Also with enfold main theme. But it an empty functions.php exists in the child theme folder the topic description isn’t visible. All plugins are working properly – so it seems to be related to the child theme.
Do you have a solution for this issue? I would like to use the child theme because of theme updates.
Thanks & best regards,
Jannik
February 21, 2017 at 11:59 pm #750203All back! Problem solved!
There was a problem with my functions.php in the child theme. So it didn’t work.
Thanks again for your help! :)
