I’m working with the Enfold theme and I’m getting this error when validating page speed:
The following requests are returning 404/410 responses. Either fix the broken links, or remove the references to the non-existent resources.
http://ip/~username/css/base.css
http://ip/~username/css/custom.css
http://ip/~username/css/grid.css
http://ip/~username/css/layout.css
http://ip/~username/css/print.css
http://ip/~username/css/rtl.css
http://ip/~username/css/shortcodes.css
These file paths don’t appear in source code – they appear as correct paths within Enfold parent theme. But the server is still referencing those incorrect urls and throwing errors in console. Please advise. Thanks.
Hi chrisuzzo,
Please make sure you have the correct file permissions for the CSS folder on the server.
Thanks,
Rikard
I do. Folder is 755 and files are 644.
Hi,

Try now.

Here you go.
Hey!
You don’t seem to have the latest version of the theme. Please update to 3.4 then enable the file editor. We would like to check the child theme folder.
Cheers!
Ismael
I opened up editing capability and also updated to latest version of Enfold.
You can consider this matter closed. Once I moved to the production environment the 404 errors went away.
Hi!
glad you could fix it!
Let us know in a new ticket if you have some more questions related to the theme. We are happy to assist you.

Andy
