I searched and found many issues dating back to 2015 but never a solution that fixed my issue.

First, no matter what image and size I use for the background the only way for it to show is by selecting “Stretch Fullscreen” which isn’t an issue on desktops but maybe part of the issue for mobile.

Second, any image, at any size, when viewed on a mobile device is horribly zoomed in. Oddly, I found that if the page doesn’t have much content the background displays ok (acceptable), however if the page is full of content and you’re required to scroll the image is zoomed in.

Also, while the image is horribly zoomed in, it also moves. Regardless of settings (fixed or scroll) the zoomed background images moves sorta glitchy like, as if it’s trying to decide where the background image should be.

I should note, too. that on all the online emulators the site looks and functions fine, it’s on the actual devices that the issue happens.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Sozo,
Thanks for the login and link to your site, but I don’t see that your background image is “zoomed in” on mobile.
I noted that you said that it only shows on an actual device so I checked on my Android, since I don’t see anything I assume you are using an iPhone?
Please include a screenshot of what you are seeing on your device so we can understand better.
To add a screenshot please try using an Screenshot service and pasting the image URL in your post.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thank you for your reply. I have included a link to several screen shops from both and iphone and ipad. You’ll notice the background changes dramatically from page to page and sometimes different parts of the same page. None of these are blown up or have anything done to other than a slight crop to remove personal information.

The background also moves, regardless of settings, which I believe is connected to how the image is displayed.

    Hi,
Thanks for the screenshots, unfortunately, I don’t see this on Android, I have asked the rest of the team to check with an iPhone, please include what version of iPhone you are using and what version of Safari you see this in. Have you also checked with Chrome and Firefox on your iPhone?

    Best regards,
    Mike

That’s really unfortunate because I see the same thing on Android (and older one) but it’s still very apparent. iPhone: 11 Pro Max & iPad Air 4 both running the latest version of IOS and Safari

On all Apple Devices, I’ve checked using Safari, Chrome & Firefox
Android Devices I’ve checked with Chrome & Firefox
The display issue is present on all mobile devices and in all browsers.

The current wood background you see has been tried in various sizes and the same issues happens. Again, the only way the background appears (regardless of size) is to use option “stretch full screen” which is an entire other issue for another time..but maybe part of the bigger problem.

I’ve also tried a different background image, again in various sizes. Again, it only appears ( on any device, including desktops) is for the stretch full screen option to be click). It, too, was horrible scaled and look even worse than the current background.

There’s millions of people using Apple devices so this is a huge issue, especially since a lot of our usage will be from mobile devices.

    Hi,
Thank you, but unfortunately, I don’t have an iPhone or iPad to test with and I do not see this on a Galaxy Android, with Firefox, Chrome, or Brave.
But I’m sure we will be able to sort this out, thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Sozo,

    Thanks for your patience!

I wanted to look into the issue however I received following message when I tried to login to your site

    This Account has been suspended.
Contact your hosting provider for more information.

I am based in Lithuania. Could you please whitelist LT or temporarily disable IP restriction so I can look into it? :)

    Regards,

Thank you for trying to looking into this issue, I do appreciate it. Unfortunately, our hosting company had a database problem and we lost our entire site, none of our backups work and they were unable to restore the effected accounts, forcing us to completely start again.

We are in the process of switching hosting companies and rebuilding. I guess you could close this ticket and if I have the same issue again, I can always start another.

Thank you again for trying to help!
