    Hi guys.

Wish I had found the problem and its solution in the forum. Haven’t. So, sorry, here comes a new support entry. Thing is:

On certain websites I’m having a problem with the background image. Wool etc. – your default uploaded images. And I seem to be able to work around it sometimes, and yet, not always. Example: http://www.hch-cursussen.nl. I know this:

The problem arises when I set the background image to fixed. Which worked fine, ’till for a while ago. In some areas the background disappears, reappears when scrolling, and comes in pieces, blocks. Pretty randomly. On one site I fixed this through setting it all to scroll. Both the footer and socket content. On this HCH-site mentioned above though, I use the background in both body, alt backgr, footer, and socket. And it’s all set to fixed and repeat. And since 10 minutes, all set to be positioned centre-centre. And it seems to be pretty okay now actually. I don’t know why though… Can you tell me?

Is it the alignment? Like, when using a fixed backgr img always position them centre-centre?
Or do they simply all need to be aligned the same way?
Or should I just forget about the fixed-settings and go for scroll? (which does the trick on another site)

I’d really like to know. So I can use this consistently. And yes, I hope there’s a solution for the fixed preference I have. I’m mixing things up now, on purpose, on the website mentioned above, so you can see for yourself what happens. Primarily in the footer and socket now. And yes, I checked cross-browser. Hope you guys know (by heart probably) what is going on and what I should avoid.

    Thanks!!
    Remco

    Hey Remco!

As always, thank you for using Enfold.

So far I can’t see the issue on the site. Is it possible for you to post a screenshot? The website looks nice.

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

Thanks for your response. I opened some random pages of this particular site and made some relevant screenshots:

    Hi!

thanks for the update. To be honest I don’t see any differences between your screenshots. I can’t see any issues. What do you mean? please show us a screenshot of the problem and one with what you want to achieve.

I can’t see any problem at all on your website. It looks beautiful.
However it sound to me like a conflict with a plugin, so please try to deactivate all of them and see if things get changed. Afterwards you can switch them on again one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Thank you, Andy.

What I’m trying to achieve is that the background pattern simply shows. In the pictures I uploaded there, half (or more, or less) of the background is gone. The pictures are clear enough if you look closely ;)

I’m using pretty few plug-ins on most sites. Unless it’s caused by SEO for WP by Yoast or WooCommerce, I dare say it’s not a plug-in thing. Thing is, you guys never heard anyone having this problem? The problem of the partially not-appearing background image, considering the backgrounds Enfold offers by default. The background patterns, like ‘diagonal this’ and ‘for dark background that’.

    Never heard of this one?

    Hey!

I’ve been seeing a couple of topics about this lately. It happens in Chrome correct?

For one customer it went away after I deactivated all of his plugins. Can you create a test page and set the background to fixed and send us a WordPress login and a link to the page? (or whatever you need to do to recreate the problem)

    Elliott

    Hi Elliot.

I tried and tried. But I can’t seem to screw it up… Hahahah, now that’s a first.

I’ll try some more. But for now: even when I set a certain background in the page to fixed, and the backgound pattern in footer and socket to fixed and so on, even this one works. And that website was the most broken one.

Sorry… never mind for now. And FYI, it was in Opera, and turned out pretty much the same in Chrome. I’ll let you know when I’ve recreated it successfully. Cheers!

    Hi!

If it was only in Chrome then it could have been that you needed to update to Enfold 3.0.8. There was a fix in that update for backgrounds in Chrome.

    Hi Elliot

Thank you for the feedback. Seems to have been exactly that! I just looked into http://www.arzusplace.nl (another site I helped build) running 3.0.4. still. And the old problem occured, exactly the way I described. Backgrounds falling apart. So I ran the update, and immediately all flawed vanished. Awesome!!

    So, FYI:
It seems that Chrome bug fix did exactly the same for Opera. Don’t know if that makes any sense, but it’s true. I’m still merely using Opera. And did so, when I updated the theme, right there, 5 mins ago. Which annihilated the issue.

    Thanks a lot!!
