This is really a question to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem as me – and not a direct request for help.
Recently I have noticed that when attempting to edit text in a post or page created with layout build my wordpress backend slows down to a crawl. It can take 10 to 15 seconds for text which has been typed to appear in the ‘visual editor’ box. However, if I switched views in the text box (i.e. switch to plain text) the editing is back to normal, text is instantly updated.
I have loads of sites using Enfold and this has only happened on two sites. Now, interestingly these two both use a caching plugin (but different types).
Anyone seeing the same problem?
December 7, 2015 at 6:52 pm #548219Hi eddygame!
I understand that you are just checking to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
But have you have you tried any troubleshooting steps to come to a possible solution?
For example, have you tried disabling all of your plugins to see if they are causing a conflict, clearing your cache or updating enfold to the latest version?
You could also provide us with temporary admin access to your websites if the above steps don’t work.
Cheers!
DakeDecember 9, 2015 at 11:13 pm #550018yes, I also experience the same issues. I use WPRocket for caching, and trouble arise whenever I try to edit Avia elements, such as text and special headings. I followed some previous advice here in this forum such as disabling Envato’s API ID and license key (yes, it seemed to be helpfull, that was suggested) but it did not help me much… So, yes, in a way, I am still scacthing my head, and struggling. I noticed that some website were running very slow with WPML with which I really have a hard time these days. But this is another issue, I guess.

To Rikard… I tried disabling plugins but the problem was still there. I will post a login so you can take a look, thanks for your help.December 10, 2015 at 12:58 pm #550312Here you go Rikard…

December 14, 2015 at 9:48 pm #552624Did you managed to take a look yet?
December 18, 2015 at 2:14 am #554741Seems like it might be the plugin ‘Post Snippet’ which is causing a problem.
December 19, 2015 at 8:45 am #555366Hi,
So removing that plugin fixed your problems? Please let us know if you should need any more help on the topic.

RikardSeptember 15, 2017 at 11:59 am #852506Hello,
Unfortunately i am getting the same issue. I am using the Enfold Theme.
The website has been running very smoothly and extremely fast up until yesterday.I often open more than one table in the back-end (such as several products at a time in order to edit quickly).
previously i could open about 13 tabs each of a different product to edit in the back-end very quickly and effectively. Unfortunately however since yesterday just one tab lone is VERY sluggish and slow. At first i thought it was a server issue so i contacted my hosting provider and did ALL relevant checks – my server is running at tip-top shape. I pay over $100 a month for my server hosting on a VIP server and as i said before, it was EXTREMELY quick before.Last night a task which used to take me 10 minutes has taken me 1 hour – i can’t work like this. I am convinced it is a theme issue and i need it sorted ASAP.
I looked at previous threads and it seems like people have had this same issue in the past but there has been no resolution from Kriesi.

@AzharVahora
Please start a new thread, as this is from 2015. Also please don’t post the same question on multiple posts. Thank you for understanding.
I did a quick check for you and your site loads fine for the content, please see your report: https://www.webpagetest.org/result/170916_SQ_8cdd85de47b48548cad124f2fcebe857/
Best regards,
