    Hi,
we’re using Enfold 5.7.1 within WordPress 6.4.4 and PHP 8.3.
Since today, a problem has been recurring which means that layout elements are no longer displayed and an admin message appears stating that the element is deactivated.

We use the recommended setting that only used elements are loaded.
As the elements are built into the pages and are therefore used, we cannot understand why the theme says that the element is deactivated.

Of course, we want to continue using the function for performance reasons alone.

Is this a known bug and do you know what usually triggers it?
What needs to be done here so that it works again as usual?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hey emilconsor,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Please create a site backup, then update the theme to version 6.0. After the update, try enabling all elements, update the page, and then revert to the previous option. Let us know if this resolves the issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
we’ve just updated a staging version of the site to the newest enfold version and the problem still persists with the smart loading. Of course the problem isn’t there when enabling all elements. What else can I try to fix the problem with the smart loading enabled.

We can also give you backend access to the site to check the error yourself

    Best regards,
    Gerry

    Hi,

Access details to the staging site would be great, please post them in private as well.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

The page “/bembe-parkett/unternehmen/warum-bembe/” page doesn’t exist on the staging site, and the issue doesn’t occur on the home page. Where can we check the issue?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

sorry the page doesn’t exist on the staging but every other page should also work.
Right now the enfold setting is set to always load so the error is not there right now.
I’ve added a login link to the private content tab so you can change the setting yourself.
But the actual problem only appear randomly when the setting is switches to smart loading. So I don’t know how you could get the problem to appear consistently.

    Best regards,
    Gerry

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

We adjusted the Disabling of Template Builder Elements settings, created a test page, and added all elements from the builder, but we were not able to reproduce the issue. Can you provide a link to the page where we can see the problem? Please check the link in the private field.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

we only got this error randomly, we don’t know how reproduce it.
Every time we got it, it was fixed by updating every page that the elements didn’t load anymore on.

Last time we got it during a WP update, so maybe that is a trigger?

Please let us know once you encounter the error again. Make sure not to update the page so that we can check the issue.
