Hi,
the Avia Layout Architect has an element “Einträge Slider” (don’t know how it is called in the English version of ENFOLD):
How can I do it, so that when using this element, it shows not the latest posts, but the most popular ones?
Inside this element, there is no settings available to change from “new” to “popular posts”:
Any idea please?
Thank you!
Hey COLORIT!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Popularity can be based on different criteria. Are you trying to show posts with the most views, most comments or etc? As you can see, there is no default option for that in the theme so this will be considered as a custom work. The only element that is closest to what you’re trying to achieve is the Enfold Combo Widget which contains a Popular posts tab base on the number of comments of a post. Try to look for a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/
Cheers!

Thank you, but I don’t speak of sidebar widgets, but of the AviaLayoutArchitect element “Einträge Slider”, which has to be placed within a normal PAGE.
I would like to show in a PAGE at the bottom of it this “Einträge Slider” of the AviaLayoutArchitect, showing me NOT the LATEST blog posts within it, but the POPULAR ones (based on views, comments, what ever …, but this is not the question).
Isn’t it possible to manipulate the code of this element, so that it shows the popular posts?
The combo widget does not help, because it is an element for the CONTENT OF A PAGE and not as a widget for the sidebar.
Thanks.
Hey!
it would require a heavy customization of the theme and if you really need this function you can find someone for this job here.
Best regards,
Andy
Thank you, I have found now a solution:
instead of using the element of “post slider” within the AviaLayout Architect, I use now the Layerslider element.
The Layerslider can also show dynamic content like the popular posts.
