Hi Guys,
I’ve searched several threads and none of them seem to cover my exact issue.
The problem is that the Avia layout builder loads all elements fine except for the basic text blocks. They load the default text – Yet the text that should be loading is visible as a preview before clicking edit?
My client needs to make some edits today so I would love to have this fixed soon – any help would be greatly appreciated.
Things I have tried so far include:
1) reinstalled enfold
2) updated enfold to 4.0.5
3) updated php and increased php memory
4) repaired all database tables
5) deactivated all plugins
6) uninstalled all plugins
7) deleted static caching files
8) reinstalled wordpress 4.7.3
9) turning into the hulk and smashing my keyboardApril 12, 2017 at 7:27 am #776505Hey sirdion,
First off, thanks for using the Enfold.
I`ve checked your dashboard and created this page http://ittjetpak.com.au/test/ to test the text block shortcode and all is working normally. May you check it and tell me how to reproduce this issue?
Best regards,

Creating new text blocks works fine but that is not the issue.
The problem is that all existing text blocks are no longer editable. So for example, if you visit any page on the site that uses text blocks and click edit in the avia layout builder then you will see what I mean.

then I suggest to delete those text blocks which are not working for you, then update your page inside backend and finally re create them.

Unfortunately that is not a realistic solution, there are hundreds of text blocks in place. Surely there is a better solution that does not require recreating everything?
Are you able to determine what the issue actually is? Do you know why the text blocks are not pulling the text into the WYSIWYG?
I really need some next level support on this one please guys, my client is getting very frustrated that they can not use the theme.
April 18, 2017 at 3:40 pm #779388Hi,
we can’t tell you what’s the root of the problem, it could be thousands of different things. There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:
Keep all plugins deactivated every time while you’re testing.
Best regards,
AndyApril 18, 2017 at 11:50 pm #779712I’ve already reinstalled as noted in point 1) of my original post (complete reinstall – removed all theme files completely).
I respect that it could be thousands of things, if you can help me narrow down the possibilities and at least point me in the right direction it would be really appreciated. Specifically with reference to how the text block pulls data into the WYSIWYG?
Thanks guys, and sorry for being a pest.
April 21, 2017 at 1:23 pm #781170Hi,
looks to me like a cache issue and 7) might not be sufficient. So would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue. Make sure that there is no caching activated on your website/server.
Best regards,
AndyApril 21, 2017 at 1:29 pm #781173Also ask your host if they’re using any caching on your server and if yes tell them to deactivate it completely. Make sure you re installed a totally fresh copy from your themeforest account. Enfold needs 256MB of php memory limit to function well, so tell that your host as well.
Provide us FTP access if you still need help.
Best regards,
Andy -
