Hello,
My Avia Layout Builder is frozen, I just get the spinner preloader and no content ever shows up. I cannot switch back to the default editor either and all the tabs on the avia layout builder are frozen. I have installed a fresh version of the theme, disabled all of my plugins, and tried pretty much every other suggestion I could find in these support forums. I would rather not recreate my page and am hoping you can find a solution.
September 4, 2015 at 5:32 pm #498521Hey rink87!
I see what you mean. I noticed the WYSIWYG for the Visual editor is not displaying and you cannot switch to the Text editor either. It’s like javascript is not executing but I did not see any errors. Not sure what’s going on there.
I would try completely deleting Enfold from your WordPress theme directory before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest.
Did this start happening recently? Did you just do a WordPress update?

ElliottSeptember 4, 2015 at 7:04 pm #498561So I just completely removed the theme from wordpress via cpanel, uploaded a freshly downloaded latest copy and am still having the issue. If I make a new page the avia layout builder works fine, but I am trying to avoid having to recreate the whole homepage over again. This issue has persisted through two wordpress upgrades and did not occur in conjunction with a wordpress upgrade, one day it just stopped loading.

It would be helpful for us if possible to have backend access to the Private Area.
Can you please add it there, so we can run some tests?Cheers!
BasilisSeptember 4, 2015 at 9:12 pm #498609Sure thing.
September 7, 2015 at 4:12 pm #499331Hey!
activate debug mode, create a new page and use the shortcodes which I provide you in private content.
Cheers!
AndySeptember 8, 2015 at 4:39 pm #499985Hey Andy,
So after I paste all my shortcodes on the new page, it again freezes the layout builder and will not load it. Could there be something buggy in the shortcodes on that page? Should I try creating the page piece by piece to isolate the issue?
Thanks for your help,
ChrisSeptember 8, 2015 at 4:48 pm #499994Hey!
Yes, it sounds like you have a typo somewhere or a tag not being closed properly. Create a new page and add your content in piece by piece to see where the problem is coming from.

ElliottSeptember 8, 2015 at 5:03 pm #500003Hey Elliot,
After I paste the shortcodes into the debug area, the avia layout builder blocks do not populate, does that mean that I cannot use the avia layout builder to edit the shortcodes from my homepage because that would defeat the purpose of getting the layout builder to work again. I want to be able to use the Avia layout builder to make changes to my homepage in the future, and currently inputting the shortcodes creates the page, but the avia layout builder section remains blank.

September 8, 2015 at 5:12 pm #500011Hi!
Create a new page and then add the stuff in manually without copying / pasting into the debug field. That will let you know which area is causing the problem.

ElliottSeptember 8, 2015 at 5:23 pm #500016Hey Elliot,
So I tried typing in the entire first section manually, clicked update, it shows the page just fine, but still nothing appears in the avia layout builder. I then tried creating the same element again from scratch using the avia layout builder and after I click update, the page loads the content fine, but when I go back to the editor, the avia layout builder is blank and there is no way for me to edit that block.
This is getting highly frustrating…
Thanks,
ChrisSeptember 8, 2015 at 11:36 pm #500138Hi!
since when does this happen? it does not happen on my own installation, so something must cause it in your case. We can just try to guess what it could be.
What happens when you create a new page with the ALB? does this work for you without problems? so there is only an issue when using your existing shortcodes? if yes make sure your shortcodes don’t have any typo and all tags are closing correctly etc.Regards,
AndySeptember 8, 2015 at 11:42 pm #500140To exactly replicate my steps. Created new page, added a fullscreen slider, made zero changes to slider, pushed publish, came back to edit page, ALB no longer shows the fullscreen slider box, only the shortcodes in the debug area.

ChrisSeptember 9, 2015 at 9:04 am #500233Hey!
I checked your backend and it does not happen for me. I created a new page called “Kriesi Test”, implemented a full screen slider via ALB, clicked update and when coming back to edit this page everything look fine to me.

Sorry to be a bug. but if there is anyway to respond quick. I urgently need help, this problem killed a live website homepage..
thank you :)
October 22, 2015 at 7:39 pm #523250Ok scratch this…
A simple SHIFT + Refresh fixed it. something was bunged up in my cache from a previous theme version that was smacking the new theme update made a few days ago..
sorry for false alarm..
totally should have done the SHIFT + Refresh before bugging you awesome people..
(but you know the brain melts when home pages go POOF)
