Hi, I have the most up to date version of wordpress and of enfold theme I recently purchased. when I try to edit my home page(the only page that I have images on) by clicking the pencil icon at top of screen, it opens avia layout builder but the progress icon never stops spinning, so I am unable to edit my website home page. Andy suggested in another topic that my php memory limit may be a problem and suggested to increase it to 256mg with my provider Zuver which I have done but its made no difference. Problem is below if you click on the url:

I have been trying to sort this out since I purchased the theme about a month ago but Andy doesn’t seem to be able to help and I feel he is getting frustrated with this case, I was hoping to get some fresh eyes on it. my very lengthy conversation with all pertinent FTP login and password details for you to hopefully resolve this are in the link in private section below. Absolutely everything you need to access my website etc is in that conversation. I really need to be able to edit my homepage – the theme worked once, and I was able to set up the theme as you see it now but its never been able to load since. this is my business site and all my income is from this, please help ASAP.
If I cant get this theme working this week I will ask for a refund and go back to accesspresslite which worked fine. thanks! could really do with some help! GregHi Greg,
Sorry for the problems. We are not sure why unfortunately but there is something which goes wrong with old users after updating sometimes. I logged into your site and created a new admin right user (see login details in private) and the builder is working as it should using that account. Could you try using that or deleting your old and creating a new one please?

I got lucky I guess, sometimes it’s difficult to keep track of everything going on in a long thread. I think Andy did his best in trying to help you out.
Yes you can change the user name or create a new user in the WordPress Users menu.

I would most appreciative if you could help me!I created a new username and password as well, but I am sill getting the spinning. I have been making edits for 2 years on the theme forest Enfold theme, and have never had this happen.

Sorry for the problems. If a new user is not working then please try referring to the suggestions listed here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/my-enfold-layout-builder-is-not-loading-properly/. If none of those work then please let us know and we’ll have a closer look at your installations.

RikardThanks for your quick response. In my case, I am not a new user. I have been using the theme for 2 years and have made over 50 edits successfully. Would you recommend something else in specific?

Hi Bob,
You are using a very old version of the theme (2.4.4) which is not compatible with the latest versions of WordPress. Please try updating to the latest version: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/.
Also make sure to do backups of your site in case anything should go wrong in the process.

one of the plugins is causing the problem so I disabled it and now the Theme is working ok. I don’t need anymore this plugin so everything is solved it! Thanks for your help!

I updated my theme and it worked, the spinning stopped. Thanks a lot for looking into this.
I changed the theme by downloading the new theme zip onto my hard drive. I couldn’t get my FTP working so I went to Hostgator File Manager to update the theme files, then DELETED my Enfold folder and all its files, was scary, lol. Then highlighted the ‘Theme’ folder and uploaded the zip, clicked ‘Extract’ and WordPress site worked perfectly.
By the way, Envato – Themeforest refused to give me the update version of the Enfold theme, so I had to buy the Enfold theme again, that’s why this took so long to post this. My email changed since I bought it, they said sent an email to re-set my password. They wouldn’t give me new credentials even though I had a product key, and my original username and password.
I’m so glad my business is back up and running, thanks again!
