    Hi,

    I am having trouble with Avia layout builder on this page:

    Get the free MicroBrewr ebook

    I am trying to edit the MailChimp form and it’s giving me a ton of grief.
    When I click to edit the element, the content doesn’t show in the editing window. Neither Visual nor Text editor works.

    Sometimes I have seen some standard text like, ” Add your text here.” I was able to select all and completely replace the content with the code from MailChimp. Now it’s not even giving me that message.

    I’m stuck, unable to edit this element.
    Please help.

    Yes, I think it’s “MailChimp script.”
    It’s code I got from MailChimp, to embed their signup form on my website.

    Okay, have you tried adding it into a codeblock instead of the textblock?

    I pasted the MailChimp code into the Text editor, not the Visual editor.
    Is that what you mean?

    Hi microbrewr,

    There are a few errors in console. First one is due to an error in seo replacer plugin. Can you disable the plugin and test again?

    Are you talking about the plugin, Yoast SEO?
    I disabled the plugin and I still have trouble editing this content.

    Hi,

    There are several errors on the edit page, I don’t know the source of it unfortunately. Could you try pasting the code in the element called Code Block instead to see if that works better?

    I hesitate to add the MailChimp form through the Code Block Content Element because the submit button doesn’t display properly in the preview.

    Shoot, I can’t include a screenshot. So I’ll publish this for now. Please review the page and reply, so I can delete the extra form.

    Oh, actually the button displays properly now that I published it. And the button color better matches the theme color, like before.

    So I deleted the old one in the text block.

    The page isn’t exactly displaying properly…
    The text below the form (If you already have a successful craft brewery or are thinking of starting one,
    we’ll help you grow a thriving business and turn your passion into profit.) is supposed to display only on the 2/3 page block, only below the one column with the form, not below the 2 columns.

    Shoot,
    now the text is properly displaying only below the form, but the form’s submit button is not displaying properly.

    The button seems to be ok now.
    The at the bottom is set to run only below the form, not below the photo.

    The Avia Paylout Builder has 2 columns:
    1/3
    2/3

    The text at the bottom is set to go in the second column at 2/3-page width. But it’s displaying across both columns.

    Hi,

    Please test now. I added the following to quick css:

    #mc-embedded-subscribe{
width:200px!important;
color:#fff!important;
text-align:center!important;
}

    It should be better now, I believe there was some sort of css conflict.

    What is Quick CSS?
    I don’t like to change CSS in the theme because when I update WordPress it says edits to CSS won’t transfer. I wouldn’t be able to remember what changes I made, so any improvements would be lost.

    Hi,

    No problem at all. Quick css is located at enfold > general styling. The beauty of quick css is that it is safe from updates.
