    Hi,

I’m trying to work out why when I write a new “post” for my blog that I dont have the “Avia Layout Builder” option available to me?

On my “Pages” I have an advanced slider that displays a header image saying “news” (http://www.office365bristol.co.uk/office-365-blog/) and I want to repeat this on my blog pages (http://www.office365bristol.co.uk/microsoft-office-365-case-study/) but I can’t see how to do this?

    Can anyone help?

    Hi!

Are you using the latest version of Enfold (3.4.7)?

    Regards,
    Josue

    Josue, thank you!

Even though the theme was telling me it was up to date. I downloaded the latest version from the website and lo and behold that option was then available when creating a new post!

    Thanks again.

On our site http://www.administratiekantoorskoatterwald.nl/ the avia builder is not working. I have updated all WordPress and Enfold files and unabled all plugins. Still I can not edit pages or posts. And there are strange symbols showing on our site and in WordPress… Whats wrong?

    Hi,

I’m not sure why you have two installations? Please delete the one you are not using then try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Hi Rikard, I am not sure what you mean. Are there two installations? How can you see that?

Yesterday all WordPress and theme files were overwritten with fresh new files.

    Hi!

You can go to Appearance > Themes and see that you have two Enfold installations, one is called Enfold test. Please remove older/unused one :)

    Cheers!

Ooh I sorry, my partner must have done that. The test theme is deleted. But the avia layout builder is still not showing…

BTW: the layerslider can also not be edited. I can see the slides but I can not edit them. Is this related to not being able to edit posts and pages?

    Hey!

The issue you’re having is because certain characters in JS files are being replaced by “â” or “”, which is weird. For example js/avia.js (line 1893):

    if(position == "top" ||Â position == "bottom")

I don’t think this is written like that in the actual file because i’ve tried uploading a fresh version of the theme and the result was the same so it could be a server-side encoding issue, try asking your hosting provider support about it.

    Regards,
    Josue

Thank you Josue, I have asked the hosting provider to look at this.

Did you find a solution for the Avia layout builder problem? I can not edit posts and pages. Or is this related to that other problem?

Yes, they are related as both elements (ALB / LayerSlider) use JavaScript files.

    Regards,
    Josue
