Hi,
I’m trying to work out why when I write a new “post” for my blog that I dont have the “Avia Layout Builder” option available to me?
On my “Pages” I have an advanced slider that displays a header image saying “news” (http://www.office365bristol.co.uk/office-365-blog/) and I want to repeat this on my blog pages (http://www.office365bristol.co.uk/microsoft-office-365-case-study/) but I can’t see how to do this?
Can anyone help?
January 13, 2016 at 1:58 pm #564680Hi!
Are you using the latest version of Enfold (3.4.7)?

JosueJanuary 13, 2016 at 10:13 pm #565045Josue, thank you!
Even though the theme was telling me it was up to date. I downloaded the latest version from the website and lo and behold that option was then available when creating a new post!
Thanks again.
January 14, 2016 at 12:23 am #565073On our site http://www.administratiekantoorskoatterwald.nl/ the avia builder is not working. I have updated all WordPress and Enfold files and unabled all plugins. Still I can not edit pages or posts. And there are strange symbols showing on our site and in WordPress… Whats wrong?
January 14, 2016 at 12:42 pm #565355Hi,
I’m not sure why you have two installations? Please delete the one you are not using then try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardJanuary 14, 2016 at 2:38 pm #565405Hi Rikard, I am not sure what you mean. Are there two installations? How can you see that?
Yesterday all WordPress and theme files were overwritten with fresh new files.
January 14, 2016 at 4:09 pm #565480Hi!
You can go to Appearance > Themes and see that you have two Enfold installations, one is called Enfold test. Please remove older/unused one :)
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 14, 2016 at 7:29 pm #565728Ooh I sorry, my partner must have done that. The test theme is deleted. But the avia layout builder is still not showing…
January 14, 2016 at 8:28 pm #565756BTW: the layerslider can also not be edited. I can see the slides but I can not edit them. Is this related to not being able to edit posts and pages?
January 14, 2016 at 11:42 pm #565803Hey!
The issue you’re having is because certain characters in JS files are being replaced by “â” or “”, which is weird. For example js/avia.js (line 1893):
if(position == "top" ||Â position == "bottom")
I don’t think this is written like that in the actual file because i’ve tried uploading a fresh version of the theme and the result was the same so it could be a server-side encoding issue, try asking your hosting provider support about it.

JosueJanuary 18, 2016 at 2:52 pm #567234Thank you Josue, I have asked the hosting provider to look at this.
Did you find a solution for the Avia layout builder problem? I can not edit posts and pages. Or is this related to that other problem?
January 18, 2016 at 3:02 pm #567237Yes, they are related as both elements (ALB / LayerSlider) use JavaScript files.
