Hi
I have read if not all, nearly all, of the post regarding the layout builder not working. I have done all the recommended fixes: reinstall, rebuild. php.ini file, wp-config file code additions. I have spoken to my host server and had them update to php 5.4. Would have to go to a new billing level for anything higher. I don’t believe it is any unclosed div tags as one post suggest was their problem.
Anyhow still the problem persists.Avia layout builder text block, our story, does not display the text when clicked on instead it displays the original text “click here to add your own text”. Any changes to this page (the about page), delete a text box or element and then clicking update causes the whole page to be wiped clean. Yikes!
Is there anything you can suggest that I haven’t already tried.
Thank you so much!June 23, 2015 at 6:50 pm #463548Hey projecthouse_biz!
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold which is currently 3.2.1 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If you are, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately so we can look into it.Regards,
YigitJune 23, 2015 at 7:30 pm #463592Hi
Yes I am using the latest version 3.2.1.June 23, 2015 at 7:37 pm #463600Hi!
Have you tried de-activating all active plugins to check if that helps?
Best regards,
YigitJune 23, 2015 at 7:41 pm #463610Yes, that was the first think I did. I also switched the theme to twentyfifteen to see if the problem showed up, but because there is no layoutbuilder all updates where saved ok.
June 23, 2015 at 7:42 pm #463611Hey!
Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can look into it?
Cheers!
YigitJune 23, 2015 at 7:51 pm #463617ok, do I need your email info to do that or is there a plugin for temporary login? thanks
June 23, 2015 at 8:51 pm #463633ok I added you thanks
June 24, 2015 at 2:07 pm #464031Hey!
You can add the login information here in a reply so the rest of the team can view it also. Just make sure to add it to the “private content” section.
If you don’t have WordPress debugging turned on already then go ahead and turn that on, https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress, and check your server error logs for any useful information.

June 24, 2015 at 4:43 pm #464197Hi Elliott,
I think I may have found the problem. This site was previously built with a theme called architect2 (kriesi said it was not his theme, but using his code). On the about page it uses the code below.
(took it out seemed to make this box go crazy)
When I realized pretty photo was not in latest Enfold theme. I followed the forum threads on prettyphoto and yikes! found out the theme had switched to magnific popup. Even when I put a portion of the above code on a new build of the about page it started acting buggy.
Can you point me in the right direction to get magnific popup working.
thanks!!-

projecthouse_biz. Reason: and portions of the reply were out of the box!! that buggy code is even messing up your support page!!
June 24, 2015 at 4:56 pm #464203Hi!
Please go to Enfold and uncheck “Lightbox Modal Window” to disable built in lightbox and install PrettyPhoto as a standalone plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/prettyphoto/
Cheers!
YigitJune 24, 2015 at 4:56 pm #464204ok set you up
June 24, 2015 at 7:13 pm #464275Thanks Yigit,
I am still working through some issues. I installed prettyphoto and it almost worked but then this code ul class=ch-grid which wrapped two divs and h3 tag busted the page. Plus the slider didn’t work in prettyphoto.
also I ran the rebug script; didn’t seem to shed any light on the issue.
I think what I need to fancybox not prettyphoto. I will check for the forum for queries on that. Thank you!-

June 25, 2015 at 5:47 pm #464635Just an update: Through all of this, I hope I found the problem. Seemed to be that two tags ul li that were not wrapped in a div on a highly customized page caused serious widespread misfortunes. Even though I deleted them and then updated the page, the whole page still lost everything in the avia layout builder framework. The page was unusable and I had to rebuild a new page. What a journey!
