At first I was excited to hear that the Avia Layout Builder was available for blog posts. However, as I experiment with I realize it does not work as expected. When using the Avia Layout Builder everything normally associated with a blog post is gone… no title, no category, no author… just a blank canvas.
Frankly this has little value to me. Are there any plans to make the Avia Layout Builder work truly within a blog post instead of being just a blank canvas?
Thanks.
June 17, 2015 at 1:33 pm #460737Hey cerelogic!
It is for users who need complete control over how the post displays. If you want the post to display like a regular post then it would be best to use the default editor.
There are the comments and social widget elements you can use to make it look like a regular blog post.

Im not a CSS expert so if you could give me a hand I will appreciate it.

You should be able to achieve that look using a color section and setting a background image to it, did you try that?
Cheers!
RikardJune 22, 2015 at 1:37 pm #462743@rikard so you are saying that the color section feature works in a post without having to use the Avia Layout Builder? If it does, I can’t seem to figure out how to do that. Thanks.
June 23, 2015 at 5:26 am #463127Hey!
Sorry I might have misunderstood you, you can only use a color section when using the ALB in a post. Though you can use most other elements via the magic wand tool.

RikardJune 28, 2015 at 7:00 pm #465567hey guys.. is there any way to have an excerpt while using avia builder ?? Cause i love to use avia builder in post.. but when i have the blog posts in my home.. it won’t show excerpt.. only title.. but i’d love to show an excerpt as well…
June 29, 2015 at 12:37 pm #465792Hi!
Bruno, yes there is but you have to set it manually in the Excerpt field. If you can’t see the field then click Screen Options in the top right hand corner of the edit screen and tick the Excerpt box.
Best regards,
