Enfold is updated to 4.0.7. (reinstalled)
WordPress is v 4.8. (reinstalled)
PHP version 5.4
I have tried deactivating all plugins.
I do not have a child theme set up.
Inspection shows a 500 error on /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.
Hosted at MediaTemple on DV serverThanks for your help.
June 12, 2017 at 9:27 pm #807086Hey DWMLawFirm,
Have you attempted to increase your PHP memory limit?
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/Also, please try and deactivate Yoast as we have seen this cause an issue that we are currently looking into.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonJune 12, 2017 at 9:38 pm #807096Thanks. My PHP memory_limit is set to 256M. I have deactivated Yoast and cleared the cache, but neither worked.

June 12, 2017 at 9:47 pm #807103i think php 5.4 is too old!
June 12, 2017 at 9:48 pm #807106Working on migrating to a new server, but the site was editable 3 hours ago with no change to the server.
June 12, 2017 at 10:17 pm #807118I’m experiencing same issue. I contacted my host server and they said it is either theme or woo commerce related. VERY frustrating. My mem is also set to 256M.
June 12, 2017 at 10:35 pm #807130I disabled Yoast, and it is still occuring.
June 12, 2017 at 10:40 pm #807133My current server will only go up to PHP 5.6. I am not going to update at this point since I am migrating to a new server in 7 days. However, do need to be able to edit the site until then.
June 13, 2017 at 12:19 am #807167I deactivated Enfold, and activated Twenty Seventeen, and was able to edit. Wondering if I should roll-back WordPress update?
June 13, 2017 at 12:31 am #807171Hi,
If that was the last major change to your installation (you mentioned above it was working 3 hours ago) I would roll back and see if that fixes the issue and then we can work from there to try and isolate the problem.

June 13, 2017 at 5:32 am #807222OK, so after much trial and error, it seems to be two plugins causing the problem: Gravity Forms and Yoast SEO Premium. I can edit if both of these plugins are deactivated. To note, this is not resolved, other than I have to turn off the plugins to edit, and then turn them back on when done.

June 13, 2017 at 3:06 pm #807499I don’t have gravity forms, but I have formidable forms…I’ll check this myself later.
June 13, 2017 at 10:47 pm #807658We rolled our site back to a backup from early on 6/9/17 (prior to the WordPress update). It is now editable again. We are moving to a new hosting server in the next 7-10 days which should be running PHP 7. I have been in touch with both Gravity Forms and Yoast about the conflicts. Neither have provided a solution.
Please let me know if you recommend updating WP once we are on the new server. Otherwise, let me know if you have suggestions for other ways to resolve these conflicts.
June 13, 2017 at 10:59 pm #807666Hi,
I think it would be best to test the update within a staging environment first if possible. If the problem is not reproduced on the PHP 7 server then you should be okay to move live.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonJune 23, 2017 at 5:35 pm #812196So, we have migrated over to the new host. The good news is that the spinning wheel has stopped and I can now access the page to edit. The bad news is that I cannot see the text and all of the editor buttons are missing. Not sure if I need to open a new thread for this.

June 23, 2017 at 6:09 pm #812225OK, I found the problem. There was a setting in the Succuri plugin > Hardening.> Restrict wp-includes access. If this is hardened, it needs to be reverted.
June 23, 2017 at 6:44 pm #812242Hi,
This is great news. I will be on the lookout for other users with this issue and if they have the Succuri plugin.
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon -
