I’ve found that re-saving a post breaks it on some posts on our site.
It would appear that on some pages, the Avia Layout Builder does not add all the appropriate #after_full_slider_n divs, although it does add the first 1 or 2.
I’ve only seen this on WPML translated pages, but it’s possible that’s happening elsewhere.
On a staging server, I’ve tried disabling all plugins and the child theme, except for WPML, and the problem persists.
Have you seen anything like this before? Any idea what might be going on, or how to fix it?
Thanks,
Mike

I haven’t seen anything like that before, can you provide temporary admin access and ftp access, maybe we can turn on wordpress debugging: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress and have some clue on why it’s happening on your end.
Best regards,
NikkoJuly 27, 2017 at 12:27 am #830414I’ve set debug to true in the wp-config file, but it’s not spitting out any errors, before or after the page breaks. I’ve set it up in a test environment, and I’ve restored to a backup point before re-saving the post in question. I’ll put the info in the private content field.
July 31, 2017 at 7:14 pm #832358Hi,
Actually that is a bug came on the latest WordPress version.
Sometimes, what saved on the builder / editors it removed strips the HTML, but NOT real in a pseudo way.
They are already working on those updates it will be fixed soon from the WP teamBest regards,
BasilisAugust 5, 2017 at 8:09 am #834624Do you know the last known good version of WordPress that doesn’t have this problem? Would you recommend using an older version until it is corrected?

BasilisSeptember 14, 2017 at 10:32 pm #852324Hi there,
Just wanted to see if there’s any update on this issue. I just tried applying all available updates, and my site is still breaking pages on save. This is a big deal for us – it means we can’t update any page on the site and know that it won’t break, and there’s now way to fix it other than to restore from backup if it does.
I just installed Enfold version 4.1.2, When do you expect the next release?
Also, I am a developer, I’d be happy to see if I can find a way to patch this myself – you alluded to some HTML parsing that wasn’t happening correctly. Is there anything else you could tell me that might help me find my own solution to this issue? Can you tell me at what point the breakdown occurs, or any relevant hooks I might use to fix it?
Thanks,
Mike
September 19, 2017 at 3:22 am #853646Hi,
I would like to check the page but it requires htaccess authentication. Please post that info in the private field as well. We’ve encountered the same issue before and the common fix that we usually recommend is by moving all elements or set of elements inside a color section. This will ensure that every section in the page is closed properly.

I duplicated the ES Home page and updated it without any issue. ( see private field )
Best regards,
IsmaelSeptember 20, 2017 at 8:35 am #854246Interesting. I see that, and opened and re-saved the test page you made without issue. When I opened and resaved the ES Home Page though, the issue persists. Is there anything that can be done to fix a page that’s been broken? Duplicating any page I intend to edit on the chance it will break doesn’t really seem like a solution to me.
Have a look at the ES home page to see how it looks after resave. I could also restore it if you’d like to see what it looks like before it’s broken.
Also, you’d mentioned this could be fixed by putting elements into a color section – I am not familar with that term – what is a color section? Is it something I can find in the Avia Layout Builder?
Cheers,
Mike
