Help!
After updating workpress version, I’m no longer able to edit my site. The Avia Layout Builder no longer loads, and I don’t know (or want to learn) how to edit pages using code.I’m using Enfold parent theme. I read that it would be good to use a child theme so I added that, but I’m unable to use it. I can activate it, but I am unable to export the settings from the parent theme because the export function on the ‘Theme Options’ menu is not working. In fact none of the optios are working, except for the General settings option. I there can also not import the settings to the Child theme if I activate it.
In addition, if I deactivate the classic editor and edit in code, the changes are not reflected in the website. They show up if I press “Preview”, but not on the site after I press Update”
Thanks,
SergioOctober 17, 2020 at 12:40 pm #1253471Hey scoopert,
Can you try to install and activate Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin? and see if it helps.
If not, please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
NikkoOctober 17, 2020 at 1:26 pm #1253477Hi Nikko,
I installed the plugin Enable jQuery Migrate Helper and that seems to have worked! At least now the Avia builder loads, and muy changes to pages do upload. Thanks, SergioN.B. For your information, the plugin returned this mesage when I loaded my homepage for editing:

October 17, 2020 at 2:26 pm #1253492Hi scoopert,
These are the codes/files that use the jQuery Migrate file.
Since WordPress 5.5 has removed that file you’ll need this plugin for Enfold 4.7.6.1 and below.
If you update to the latest version of Enfold, it should be safe to remove this plugin (though we would always suggest having a backup first before doing any updates).Best regards,
NikkoOctober 17, 2020 at 2:35 pm #1253495Hi Nikko,
But wordpress tells me I’m already using the latest version of Enfold?Message on Enfold theme Updates page:
“No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.8.5)”October 18, 2020 at 7:00 pm #1253665Hi scoopert,
The latest version is 4.7.6.4. Please install the Envato Market plugin and attempt an update.
