All of a sudden my Advanced Editor Layout is not working. All of a sudden when I click on Edit Page it brings me to WordPress block editor. When I click on “Advanced Editor Layout” most of my content is missing in the Advanced Layout Editor. Our site is useless now, please help.

Thanks for giving us admin access.
I have checked your site and noticed that you are still using Enfold 3.8 while your WordPress version is the latest 5.5.1.
The issue is incompatibility, the only fix I could recommend is to update to the latest version of Enfold which is 4.7.6.3 however it also runs with a lot of risks and potentially cause your site to be messed up. I would suggest creating a stage site first, then update Enfold to the latest version there and check if there are any issues, if there’s none then proceed to updating the live site, if there are issues then document the issues and post here so we can help with it then proceed to updating the live site then apply fixes.

I did the Staging site as you suggested, however, there is now nor was there before, any option to update the Enfold theme. Perhaps that is why the site failed in the first place because updates were not available? Do we have purchase an update? We just purchased this theme a little over a year ago. I’m a little confused here.
Perhaps I’m missing something. How does one go about “updating to the latest version of Enfold”? As you were in the site, you probably have noticed that the only option available is to “Reset all options”. Please advise.

I apologize I forgot that other methods of updating should be used.
Please do the following:- Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme.
- Right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
- It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
- Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
- Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
- Install and activate this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
- Go to Appearance > Themes.
- Click on the ADD NEW button.
- Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
- Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
- Click the INSTALL NOW button

NikkoBut won’t doing this change the look and feel of the site entirely? Particularly if the site desugb has been customized? Or if using a child theme?
I was having the same issue, and when I uploaded the new theme, the site looked completely different. I would have to redo the site entirely.Hi galvaradomba,
Normally it does not, you just check the theme options resave them, and clear the cache. It should not change the design.

That was the problem. Somehow we missed the emails to upgrade the Enfold – Responsive Multi-Purpose Theme by Kriesi at the envato web site. Once we followed your very detailed instructions we were back in business with no loss at all. Thanks for all of your help.
