May 25, 2015 at 11:10 am #449464Hi SaamaMarketing!
Please try to update to the latest version, 3.1.5. If that doesn’t help then please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look. You can post the details here as a private reply.
Cheers!
RikardMay 27, 2015 at 1:16 pm #450546Hiya,
I appear to have exactly the same problem. I have deleted the old parent copy of Enfold and uploaded a fresh copy but any of the pages refuse to show the Avia Layout Builder.
I have other sites that use the Enfold them, but they display the Avia Layout Builder perfectly as normal.
I have also tried using the parent Enfold theme instead of the child theme, but that hasn’t displayed it either.
Any other ideas?

May 27, 2015 at 1:59 pm #450555I have tracked down another of my sites that has the same problem. Looking at the Safari’s Inspect Element it displays this list of errors. Hopefully this might help?

Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately? Have you tried re-updating the theme via FTP and de-activating all active plugins? – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,

Do you mind posting FTP credentials here privately as well? Also, please upload latest version of Enfold.zip somewhere on your server and tell us where

Now the problem of loading issues resolved.
Thanks for your response.June 3, 2015 at 12:46 am #453440Hey!
@ColinWalton, your issue is related to WordPress TinyMCE not being accessible (it happens with Twenty Fifteen too), i’d suggest re-installing the WP installation from scratch.
@SaamaMarketing, glad you managed to sort it out.Cheers!
JosueJune 3, 2015 at 10:48 am #453670Well I have just spent the last hour chucking everything out (keeping wp_config.php and my uploads folder).
Then re-installing everything, new wordpress downloaded, new enfold downloaded.
The admin and website both appear, but as before the Advanced Layout Editor button does nothing on pages that don’t already have any advanced content. And on pages that already have advanced content all I get is the animated wheel going round and nothing else.
I have even tried different templates. Where Adding Media does not work. I get as far as clicking Add Media and being able to choose my image to display, clicking on “Insert Into Page” and then nothing happens. Same page or post with no picture.
The only things I have NOT dumped and started again are the wp_config.php file, my uploads folder and the database itself. Could the error be coming from the DB perhaps?
Thanks for your help – what a bore!

June 3, 2015 at 1:05 pm #453718UPDATE !!!
For some reason (was it you?) one of the two site afflicted with the non-loading Advanced Layout Editor has suddenly come back to life;
aj.waltoncreative.com/wp-admin now works!
BUT the other site that had exactly the same problem still doesn’t work I’m afraid:
sgs.waltoncreative.com/wp-admin still refuses to load the ALE.
Would you like the login details again for sgs.waltoncreative.com/wp-admin ?

June 4, 2015 at 1:18 am #454161Hey Colin!

Best regards,
JosueJune 4, 2015 at 7:52 am #454274I have the same problem with Avia not loading so I can’t edit anything.
How to proceed from here? Will a new update be available soon or is it not related to Enfold theme?

How would I know if I have Apache mod-security on?
I am here: Plesk > Server > Apache Web Server Settings
I have looked through the Apache modules but can’t find anything called this. Here is a list of what is available:
aclr asis auth_basic authn_alias authn_anon authn_dbd authn_dbm authn_default authnz_ldap authz_dbm authz_default authz_groupfile authz_owner bw cache cern_meta cgi cgid dbd deflate disk_cache dumpio expires ext_filter fcgid filter headers ident include info jk ldap log_forensic logio perl php5 proxy proxy_ajp proxy_balancer proxy_connect proxy_ftp proxy_http proxy_scgi python reqtimeout rewrite rpaf speling status substitute suexec sysenv unique_id userdir usertrack version vhost_aliasAm I looking in the wrong place for the setting?
June 4, 2015 at 11:23 pm #454799Try pasting this into .htaccess (should be at the root ‘/’ of your install):
<IfModule mod_security.c> SecFilterEngine Off SecFilterScanPOST Off </IfModule>
Regards,
JosueJune 4, 2015 at 11:28 pm #454801Sadly that hasn’t worked. When trying to log into the admin I get this message:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, (Email address hidden if logged out) and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
June 4, 2015 at 11:43 pm #454805Hm, restore .htaccess and try re-installing WordPress. If that doesn’t work contact please your hosting provider, the root of the issue is that TinyMCE (the WP editor) can’t be accessed (403 Forbidden).
Best regards,
JosueJune 5, 2015 at 12:00 am #454814Ok thanks. What I don’t understand is that I have other Enfold themes running in exactly the same VPS with no problems??
What a pain!
June 5, 2015 at 12:07 am #454815It’s not really related to the theme but to some permission-related misconfiguration in one precise WordPress file:
/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php
Regards,
JosueJune 5, 2015 at 9:03 am #454997In that case could this file only be altered and re uploaded?

June 5, 2015 at 10:01 am #455024It could, try it and check if it gets fixed.
Regards,
JosueJune 5, 2015 at 8:24 pm #455293I have checked the file with one on another website that works and there appears to be no difference at all. IDENTICAL.
I have also checked the permissions and they are identical too.
Could the problem be something that the /wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php file RELATES TO ?
Surely you clever guys there can fix this problem? : )

June 10, 2015 at 9:33 am #457066I’m having an identical issue. Everything listed in this thread, and every other thread/post that I can find online, doesn’t do anything. The problem started out of nowhere, and it’s only an issue on one multisite installation. I’ve never had a problem with any single-site installations.
June 18, 2015 at 3:38 pm #461425Hi!
@gocreative: Please create a new thread with your login credentials so that we can check the issue. Make sure that you’re using the latest version of the theme, 3.2. Remove all possible cache from a plugin, server or cdn.Best regards,
IsmaelJune 18, 2015 at 3:40 pm #461428Nevermind — already solved the problem. It was due to the plugin “sxss shortcodes”, which works fine on a single-site install but causes the issue when network-activated.
