Hey!
Somehow, I can’t get Google to index the images and videos I’ve integrated via the Avia Framework or LayerSlider (which is most of my media). The Yoast SEO plugin doesn’t count them towards images on the page and Google doesn’t seem to crawl them.
Is there anything I can do about that?
Help is much appreciated.
Best,
Alexander
Hi arotterx!
The plugin says it does not see it but Google still can. Try using the google webmaster tools, https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6066467?hl=en, to check how google views your page.

Hey!
Google just sees the vimeo videos that are on pages 8 and 9 of the LayerSlider, it doesn’t see the other 8 images. It’s the same on the other pages.
Best,
Alexander
Hi!
Try turning off image preload in the Misc tab of the slider settings.

Hey!
No changes unfortunately, tried to turn off Lazy Load as well.
You think this might be a ‘feature’ of a lot of sliders? Found a few articles that say Sliders are bad for SEO. I tried the simple Content Slider instead and it shows all images correctly. It just doesn’t look as fancy and isn’t full width. Was kinda hoping, I could keep using LayerSlider.

Kreatura Support got back to me, I’ve emailed them. It can’t be done.
Here’s the answer:
Unfortunately in the current version we are using temporary blank.gif images for faster load and page render so you cannot achieve this, sorry.
That’s a real caveat and absolutely not SEO-friendly. You should probably consider this for future themes.
Thanks again for your help.
Hey!
Thank you for the info. That’s too bad. Maybe, you should use the Fullwidth Slider or Fullscreen Slider instead.
Cheers!

Hey Ismael!
Yes, I will. I’ve already tried the Content Slider and it indexes fine.
Have a good one!
