I have the latest WordPress version 5.2, the latest Enfold version 4.5.7, PHP 7.0, wp-config.php with 256M, and everything everyone recommends for running ENFOLD and yet I am getting the spinning wheel of death.
The builder doesn’t load.May 21, 2019 at 6:18 pm #1102991Hey danielbarbarini,
Have you tried disabling all active plugins to see if the issue resolves?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonMay 21, 2019 at 6:24 pm #1102994Jordan, I have indeed.
Didn’t work.
May 22, 2019 at 1:22 pm #1103263Hi, I also have the spinning wheel for the Avia Layout Builder, which won’t load, on a new site using WP 5.2, php 7.1, theme version 4.5.7
I only have a couple of plugins running and I have deactivated them but that didn’t work.Is there a solution for this? I have only just purchased the theme and need to work on the site?
May 22, 2019 at 1:51 pm #1103270Hi
I have resolved this by editing a file directly on the web server to raise the WP Memory limit
Find the folder: wp-includes
Find the file: default-contants.phpchange: define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘40M’ );
to: define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );May 23, 2019 at 3:20 am #1103499Red2design, I have tried that and it didn’t work.
I am running out of options and support doesn’t reply to this post.May 23, 2019 at 10:48 am #1103612Sorry that didn’t work for you. I’m not a developer, I’m a front end designer, so much of this is just trial and error! Have you tried editing the php.ini file to raise memory limits? There may be something on your hosting server that’s blocking limits so it may be worth exploring that with whoever you host with?
I hope the Enfold theme support come back to you as there is definitely an issue with the Avia Advanced Layout Builder.
May 23, 2019 at 4:49 pm #1103719Hello Red2design. Tried that. Didn’t work.
May 23, 2019 at 10:16 pm #1103801I would really love if support gave a dam about their customers. I have bought more than 10 ENFOLD themes I never needed support for anything. But this time, for this problem, I am really needing it. Could someone from Kriesi help?
May 24, 2019 at 4:38 am #1103849I am also having this problem with the Enfold theme – Avia Advanced Layout Builder doesn’t load. Spinning wheel keeps on going.
Tried deactivating plugins and raising the WP memory limit but both didn’t work.
Any solutions so far?May 24, 2019 at 6:02 am #1103859I am also currently having an issue where all my pages’ Avia Layout Builder is totally blank. I’ve updated the enfold theme to 4.5.7 and my wordpress version is 5.2.1.
It doesn’t have the spinning wheel, but its just totally blank without any content. How do I continue with my editing?

May 25, 2019 at 7:09 pm #1104196Whats does it take to support get on the issue? A bad word? A tweet about it?
May 26, 2019 at 9:57 am #1104268Hi,
Nothing of those, especially when all of our Support Agents are trying hard to follow up with all the open tickets and issues.
@danielbarbarini I have loged in to your web site and I have seen that the ALB is loading properly… I am on Chrome & WindowsBest regards,
BasilisMay 26, 2019 at 5:11 pm #1104310Basilis, thank you for the reply. Could you try editing the home page and see if works? Why does this problem happen to some pages and not to others?
May 29, 2019 at 4:47 am #1105028Hi danielbarbarini,
I’m sorry for the problem and for the late reply. I had a look at the page in question and you are getting some error messages when editing the page, please see private. I’m not sure exactly what is causing those problems though, do you know which version of PHP you are running on the site? We recommend 7.1 or higher.
I activated debug mode on your installation to see if copying the page to a new page would make any difference, but it did not unfortunately. Please see private for the new page. It’s likely that some content in the page is creating the problem, did you add any custom javascript or similar to the page? If so then you can try to delete it through the shortcode window to see if that helps. Anything you might have done before this started happening might help us find the solution for your problem.
Best regards,
RikardMay 30, 2019 at 12:36 am #1105305Hello Rikard,
There is no such thing as custom java script. In the beginning I thought it could be some plugin but even turning them all off, the avia layout builder still doesn’t work.
The PHP version is 7.0.
What do you think if we roll back the ENFOLD theme version?
Thanks,
Daniel
June 1, 2019 at 6:55 am #1105973Hi Daniel,
Sorry again for the problem. If it was working with an earlier version of the theme then rolling back might be a good idea yes, then you can update on a staging version of the site to check if everything is working as it should. Let us know if you should need a copy of an earlier version.
Best regards,
RikardJune 1, 2019 at 6:57 am #1105974Hi again Daniel,
I just wanted to include this article as well, since the server your server is returning a 405 error. It might give you some clues as to what is going wrong: https://airbrake.io/blog/http-errors/405-method-not-allowed
Best regards,
RikardJune 7, 2019 at 9:49 am #1108203Can you please provide the download link for 2 versions before Enfold version 4.5.7?
The latest update of Enfold didn’t solve my problem either.Enfold used to be a good theme and I always highly recommend it to my clients. Unfortunately, this time, it has thoroughly disappointed.
I hope support will respond soon.
June 8, 2019 at 3:59 am #1108363Hi phylicia,
You can’t blame the theme because something isn’t working out exactly as you expected one time, and we haven’t even had a look at your site. The theme is working fine for the vast majority of our users.
If you need an earlier version then please open a new thread so that we can share it with you there.
Best regards,
RikardJune 12, 2019 at 9:46 am #1109420I first posted about the problem on 24th May 2019. No support has been given since. Not even when you, a moderator, finally replied on 8th June 2019.
In the meantime, I have found the glitch – the Avia builder doesn’t load when I put more than 2 YouTube video links on the page. Nothing to do with the backend.
June 12, 2019 at 2:11 pm #1109495Hi phylicia,
I see the post that you are referring to, the moderator who replied after your reply must have missed it since there were two other users replying after you, including the author of the thread. This is one of the main reasons why we want users to post their own thread even though they have the same type of problem. Helping more than one user in one thread gets difficult and messy very quickly. Please keep that in mind if you should have any more problems in the future.
I’m glad that you found the problem though, if you should need any further help with that then please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look at your site.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 18, 2019 at 3:40 am #1128572Hi Rikard and Company:
I am running WordPress 5.2.2 and Enfold 4.5.7 and I can confirm the bug that phylicia refers to in the above post dated June 12th: I had two embedded iFrames (not YouTube videos) and I had to use the debug mode in order to remove the iFrames code and get the Avia Advanced Layout Builder to load again.
Is this an issue that you are working on at your end?
Cheers,
TimPS The problem does not occur when building the page, meaning, if I start fresh and add the iFrames to the page, I can see the embedded code appear in the Avia Advanced Layout Builder as I save each element. The error occurs when I ‘update’ the page and then either refresh it or return to edit the page that the spinning wheel appears. I hope that helps.
