I’ve read a few more post with the same kind of problems. I’ve also encountered the problem that my avia advanced builder doesn’t load anymore. The circle keeps spinning and when i try to switch to standard builder the input field just turns white and there is nog opportunity to write something or even switch from wysiwyg or text mode. I didn’t install any new plugin’s and last week it worked fine.
– I did install the new wordpress 3.9
– The solution offered to someone else; turning on the avia builder in the settings menu didn’t work (yes, it was switched off for some reason).
Can someone please help me out! My client is very frustrated :(April 25, 2014 at 2:31 pm #256092P.S. It is possible to add new elements and textfield. When i do so i can also add text and publish the pages. Though it is not possible to view an or edit the published text that is live at the moment.

Do you have the latest version of Enfold?
Best regards,
JosueApril 28, 2014 at 8:01 pm #257279I do. I also added the forresttheme API for the latest updates.
April 28, 2014 at 8:18 pm #257287Also, when i switch the avia builder off in the article edit screen settings it does not hide. (even when disabled)
All the other elements will turn off when de-selected.
Is there a possibility that it has anything to do with the plugin: RoleScoper?April 28, 2014 at 8:57 pm #257308I also deleted the enfold theme and re-installed it.
April 28, 2014 at 10:16 pm #257335Hi!
I would suggest first deactivating all plugins currently active and then checking to see if things work. If a plugin was recently added, updated or even *not* updated to work with the new WordPress text editor it could be causing a conflict with the theme which was updated to work with 2.9 in version 2.7 of the theme.
Cheers!
DevinApril 28, 2014 at 11:16 pm #257355Hi Devin, thanks for your reply. I just deactivated all plugins, but still the Avia advanced builder does not load. I still get the spinning circle when I try to edit a page. and also i can not enter the simple editor or wiswyg editor (same problem as my first post).
April 28, 2014 at 11:22 pm #257357Resume:
– Problem started before i did the 3.9 update (so i do not think that is the problem)
– Switched to another theme and reactivated Enfold
– Re-installed the Enfold theme
– Deactivated all the plugins
– Updated the Endfold theme to the latest release
– It IS possible to add new elements trough the avia advanced builder (and fill them with content). But after publishing the page and try to edit it afterwards i encounter the same problems.- This reply was modified 10 years, 6 months ago by rudolfje.

April 29, 2014 at 9:51 pm #257907Hey all, I am having the same issue.
Once I updated to WordPress 3.9 the Avia Layout builder stopped working. Pretty darn frustrating.
I have NO plugins activated and my site only has 8 pages to it. It was definitely the wordpress update that did it.Anybody have any suggestions??
April 30, 2014 at 7:00 pm #258396I would appreciate it if a moderator could answer the questions above, since i’ve paid for the theme i’d like to receive some proper feedback please.
May 1, 2014 at 1:48 pm #258839Hey!
Sorry for the delay.
Please post the website URL here along with the login details. Set it as a private reply. Make sure that you set the wordpress memory limit to at least 128M. Deactivate all plugins. We would like to check it.

Your memory is set to 64M (64 megabyte). Please increase it to 128M. A tutorial can be found here: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/
Cheers!

Thank you for increasing the memory limit.
I checked the website on my end and the avia builder is not working. There are lots of script errors on the wp dashboard. Please try to override the wp 3.9 core files then go to wp-content/plugins folder. Rename the plugins then remove any unused plugins. We’ll check it again after.
Cheers!

We’re very sorry for the delay.
I would like to check the website again but there is a database error connection, “Fout bij het maken van de databaseconnectie”. We’re asking you to remove or rename unused plugin folders because sometimes the plugin options tend to get stuck with the installation and might cause conflict. We don’t want to do this ourselves because it is not impossible that we mess up your plugin settings.

May 6, 2014 at 10:57 pm #260992This reply has been marked as private.May 8, 2014 at 7:58 am #261673Hi!
I looked into it and your server fails to load an important php file which breaks wordpress and our theme. I get this error message:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://www.wijthmen.nl/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php?c=1&ver=4021-20140412
and obviously http://www.wijthmen.nl/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php is an important file because it loads the tinymce text editor dependencies. The issues is also not related to Enfold because when I switch to the TwentyThirteen theme (standard wordpress theme – you can switch it here: http://www.wijthmen.nl/wp-admin/themes.php ) and then try to edit a standard post/page the editor also doesn’t work/show up and I get the same error message. Because this issue is not caused by our code the only recommendation at this point is to contact your server provider (server administrator) and to ask him why the php file (see link above) doesn’t load and to ask him to fix the issue by adjusting the server configuration.

Glad it is fixed.
I tested it again on Chrome Windows 8 and the avia builder loads fine. Please try to remove browser cache or test it on another browser or computer.
