    Hey guys,

came across an affiliate URL incorporating square brackets. So something like
    https://xyz.com/cart/new?vendorid=4711&PRODUCT[0815]=1&affiliateid=123456

I need to use that URL as a link target in a button in an avia text box.

The problem is the closing bracket: If I use the link as is, everything behind is shown as normal text in the page.
If I escape the brackets with [ / ], everything looks good on the page – but the link doesn’t work.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers,
    Jürgen

    Hey Jürgen,

The best way hee would be to use some service that shortens URLs, then the brackets will be gone and the link will work.

    A service like https://bitly.com/

    Best regards,
    Victoria

Well… To avoid any GDPR implications, in the end I’ve opted for a redirection plugin, which handles the forwarding locally.
Anyway, thanks again for the initial spark, Victoria!
