Hi!
Please check http://www.greenjolien.nl
The autoplay on YouTube movie on homepage did work on all browsers. Now it’s not working anymore on Chrome. Any idea what caused this and if it can be fixed?May 15, 2018 at 5:38 pm #957129Hey famewebdesign,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

May 16, 2018 at 8:49 am #957388I noticed the same issue on a test website ….
In FireFox and Edge the autoplay seems to work, in Chrome it doesn’t.
This only occurs with the newest version of Enfold! Here my client is building a site with the old version of Enfold and video in header starts (in chrome): http://www.kristien.be/
Here is a test page on another domain, we use the newest Enfold there, and video does not start (in chrome): http://hospitaalstraat30.be/kermis-2018/May 17, 2018 at 5:12 am #957901Hi famewebdesign & jurgen1979,
The videos on your sites are auto-playing fine on my end using Chrome, I’m not sure exactly how we can reproduce the problem? Maybe it’s due to the new Chrome policy? https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes
Best regards,

The “new behaviours” in the article you mentioned, says: “muted autoplay is always allowed”. So I think it should still be possible to autoplay on Chrome. As Jurgen mentioned in a reply above, older versions of Enfold still autoplay in Chrome. When using the newest version, autoplay does not work anymore.
A collegue webdesigner I know noticed the same issue on some sites he created.
Is it possible the newest version of Enfold created this issue?May 17, 2018 at 2:50 pm #958187Dear Sir,
Try to embed video like this in HTML ( in all browsers) !

This site is already a couple of mounths online. Autoplay worked perfectly on all browsers. After updating to the newest version of Enfold, autoplay on Chrome does not work anymore.
If anyone knows a way to get it working again on Chrome, please let me know.May 18, 2018 at 9:50 am #958511Hi,
This is the solution: <video autoplay muted><source src=”movie.mp4″></video>
The problem is the Privacy and only worked by muted state.
Regards,
d.

May 18, 2018 at 10:48 am #958537Hello
I did not do a thing … But you are correct: now it works …
I have no idea who or what solved the problem on that test site … Weird.
Thanks anyway!
