Hello,
I am trying to find a solution for auto resizing pictures. In the attached file you can see a sidebar on the left and Picture on the right. I would really like all pictures to automatically resize to fit the screen. For example on this page
Can this be done with Enfold?
Or am I looking in the wrong direction?
Kind regards,
Gerhard

As long as you are using a large enough image it will fit the size of the screen.
Cheers!

Thank you for your response.
I think you misunderstood my question. What I meant is exactly the opposite. When I use big pictures with a height of (for example) 1500px, the images get cropped (top or bottom) and stretched to full width. I do not want them to be cropped but resized so that they are shown completely. Something like height of the window minus 100px or height minus 10%.

I’ve just had look at your page. In my professional opinion, the images you are using are not ideally sized to display on slideshows. Display objects(apart from mobile phones) tend to favor landscape orientation. Therefore, images with smaller width than height tend not to be ideal for slideshows.
They don’t not maintain their aspect ratio and will be completely distorted when viewing on different devices. This is regardless of whether you are using enfold’s slideshows or any other.
For the purposes of your slideshow, my best advice would be to use (edited)images incremental of the following size 1049×631. Some clipping might occur but it will be minimal.
Try the following site to generate a few dummy images to try http://lorempixel.com/

ArvishOctober 5, 2014 at 2:15 pm #330477Hello Arvish,
Thank you for your response.
I chose these images on purpose. I want these images to show on screen in the shape they are. I shoot portraits (vertical pictures).
I think i have to consider a plugin or another theme then.
Kind regards
Gerhard
