    When you click on the author name in the blog post meta, it takes you to the author page. The author page URL shows the admin userid. This is bad bad bad.

    For example: http://mywebsite.com/author/admin

    For security reasons, the URL should be: http://mywebsite.com/author/MyDisplayName or something like that.

    How can the author page URL be changed so that it does not display the admin userid in the URL?

    Hey cerelogic!

    I don’t think you can change that. If you do then it will give you a 404 when you click on it. Perhaps there is a plugin out there that will let you do this but I do not know of any that I can recommend.

    I really don’t think it’s a big deal but if your worried about it then consider creating a separate author account to post with and leave the admin account for other purposes.
