i’ve run into a strange problem. i’m rather new to enfold, but know the structure and functions of wp themes in general.

i’m currently working on a child theme based on enfold, learning by doing how things work with that and the avia framework.

today i realized that my archive pages are showing bogus. the posts seem rather mixed up, chronologically and content-wise (i.e. /category/news showing posts from another category).

yes, i do have custom code in functions.php, but it’s the same if deleting that. and no, there’s no archive.php (or similar) in the child theme (yet). and strangely – if switching to the parent theme everything is working fine.

so where could i have messed up things?

    tia.

ok, just happened to find that it’s an issue with sticky posts – they are always shown on archive pages, ranked somewhere at the top, no matter if they are part of (i.e.) the current category.

but again, that’s not the case in the plain parent theme, so it must be some setting i set in the child theme (as it also happens if i reduce it to the minimum).

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

We may need to inspect the site in order to properly assess the issue. Please provide the login details in the private field. Which blog style did you select?

    Best regards,
    Ismael
