Hey guys. Our animated numbers on homepage are not always loading correctly. On initial loading of page, they stay at “0” for some people, and it doesn’t seem browser specific, they checked in Chrome, Firefox and Safari and it happened on all. For other people they work great.
And then they animate when the page is scrolled or moved, but only when they are finally entirely visiable, so on smaller screens they often won’t at all.
I did read #455229 and would be happy to try that fix but I’m not altogether sure how to execute it in my child php file.
July 16, 2015 at 7:14 pm #474514Hi Kaylesimon!
You are currently using an older version of the theme. Please update Enfold to the latest version 3.2.3 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

YigitJuly 16, 2015 at 9:13 pm #474565the new version of the theme makes it even worse. Now it shows us 0 in most browsers and when we move the window, we sometimes get 1 or 2 numbers to animate with the other 2 remaining 0, and other times nothing happens at all. See new link to sandbox site where we tested the theme update below please.
July 17, 2015 at 10:23 am #474765Hey!
It’s working fine on my end using latest version of Chrome, in what browsers are you getting this error?
Regards,
RikardJuly 17, 2015 at 2:49 pm #474963It seem to be happening in most versions of chrome, firefox and safari, but I’m using Chrome Version 43.0.2357.130. See screenshots. If my browser window is very wide it works fine, but if it’s even a bit more narrow, I get zeros that do not animate until I move the page.
If you aren’t hearing this from others I’ll try turning off all the plugins before I bother you again about it. However, I’m wondering:
Is there some way to make the default on these the numbers I put in, rather than zeros? On mobile phones for example they do not animate but do not stay 0 either. That would be a better fallback.

http://www.realfreshclient.com/ScreenShot3.pngJuly 17, 2015 at 4:14 pm #475034After testing, I found that the issue seemed to be with the plugin “Alligator Pop Up.” For some reason it conflicts with animation. I guess I could hire someone to figure out why and try to fix it, or just live without one or the other.
July 17, 2015 at 4:31 pm #475042I do still have the issue of the numbers not animating unless the grid cell they are in is entirely shown, btw. And would still love to try the php change mentioned in that old support item, unless you already did that in the new theme version and it just isn’t working. But I guess that’s kind of a small thing. If they could animate when half appearing, that would be great.
July 19, 2015 at 4:12 pm #475398Hey!
I checked the page but you replaced the animated numbers with a text block. If you can create a test page, that would be great. If you want to start the animation even before the whole grid row is in view, you have to adjust the avia_waypoints offset value. Edit js > shortcodes.js, look for this code:
$('.avia_animate_when_almost_visible', container).avia_waypoints({ offset: '80%'});
Decrease the percentage.
Cheers!
IsmaelJuly 19, 2015 at 6:42 pm #475432Thank you. I think you are looking at the page on the wrong site; we changed these to not use animation on our main site, but our http://www.realfreshclient.com/sandbox is still using the animation to see whether we could make them work.
I really don’t want to do any changes that my client would lose with every single update. Is there any way to do this edit in the child folder. Thank you.
July 20, 2015 at 12:52 pm #475745Hey!
Unfortunately, you can’t add or modify this code in the child theme. Anyway, I checked the site and the animated numbers are working.

IsmaelJune 19, 2018 at 5:31 pm #974829Hi guys,
I’m also experiencing this issue, but it’s further odd because it’s only on this one page. It stays on zero and on the rest of the pages I’m using animated numbers are working fine.

EmilioJune 19, 2018 at 6:13 pm #974848Hey Unitedhomeexperts,
You seem to have a lot of scripting errors specifically on that page. Please try disabling all active plugins or scripts running on that page to see if it resolves.

I have one of my developers looking into solving all those jQuery issues and will report back on our findings. Thank you!
