please have a look at the url in private content. my client has placed an animated gif in an easyslider. the animated gif should be autoplaying, however this is not working. Any idea for a solution here?

Hello try to load the image on the theme > images folder not on the WordPress image upload. WordPress is cropping the image that is why it is not animating. Then insert the image with the src=http://yoursite.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/gifimage.gif. Something like that.

how do I insert the image using the src? It is part of the easy slider which currently contains 2 images. a standard jpeg and the animated gif.
Thanks

May 16, 2017 at 3:42 am #793678Hi,
You would need to add the file to the images folder. This is done by manually adding it to the folder, not the dashboard. You then want to link to it via the url, for example http://yoursite.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/gifimage.gif.

i get the part of adding the gif to the image folder (see private content).
What I don’t understand is your suggestion to manually add it into the easy slider. Where / how in the easy slider do you suggest I add the image?
Many Thanks
May 16, 2017 at 12:51 pm #793877Hi clairemartindigital,
You can enable the Advanced Layout Builder debug mode, that way you will see all the shortcodes generated for that page and you will be able to add the gif to the slider there.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

I enabled the debug mode for the advanced layout builder. And i can see the shortcodes for each page. When i look at the shortcodes, nowhere can i actually see reference to image urls inside the easy slider. see screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/IW0Tj
The highlighted area is referencing the easy slider. but no mention of the image urls used inside the slider. it is talking about a slider id only.
Please advise

Try and use the following plugin to add the gif (http://thymeforachef.com.au/wp-content/themes/enfold/images/DuecoGuy.gif) to the media library:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/save-import-image-from-url/Then attempt to add it to the slider.
