I have an anchor on this page in a color section half way down:
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/films/films-2/#short-docwhich is linked to from the bottom of this page:
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/short-doc-films/
where it says “see all short & doc films”.The link sometimes goes to the right place (with the title SHORT & DOC FILMS at the top) – I want it to look like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/da1tnt5e5w3czsb/Screen%20shot%202014-02-18%20at%203.41.15%20PM.png
and sometimes lands a bit father up the page like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ovq8w511stkbjtl/Screen%20shot%202014-02-18%20at%203.40.42%20PM.png
can you tell me how to fix this?
thanks!February 18, 2014 at 8:27 pm #225712Hey Munford!
I’m not getting any circumstances where its getting linked to incorrectly so without being able to reproduce it there isn’t anything I can suggest.
Kriesi just did an update to how anchors are navigated to so if you can provide a scenario or steps in which it shows up incorrectly we can dig deeper.
Cheers!
DevinFebruary 18, 2014 at 9:43 pm #225753that second screenshot is the link I get –
I think I gave you the wrong page –
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/short-doc/
down where it says “see all short & doc films”
can you check it again? it’s showing up wrong for me.
I can work around it but wondered if it had something to do with the
header scrolling since when i tried to do an anchor link before your recent update
it was running under the shrunken header and there was some workaround
on the avia.js file.
thanks
nFebruary 18, 2014 at 10:09 pm #225767You can try re-generating your minimized css/js files or turning off the minimization first and then see if that helps.
Any previous changes are no longer needed/invalid as the anchor linking was re-done in 2.5.
February 18, 2014 at 10:46 pm #225790do I need that minimization thing? I wasn’t sure what it did.
I disabled it but still have the same issue with the anchor – it’s linking about 80px
above the color section. Were you able to see that on the page I sent above?

February 19, 2014 at 1:01 am #225845Now, without changing anything, the link is running under the shrunken header –
like it did before the update to the theme.

No idea what is causing these changes.
Can you take a look? same page as above.
should look like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/da1tnt5e5w3czsb/Screen%20shot%202014-02-18%20at%203.41.15%20PM.pngthanks for your time.
nFebruary 19, 2014 at 9:03 am #226028Hey!
I think the minify plugin (maybe W3TC) breaks wpml because I get a js error: “Uncaught ReferenceError: icl_vars is not defined ” and this js error also breaks the “smooth scroll” script. Please try to deactivate the javascript minify feature on the W3TC options page and check if this fixes the issue.

PeterFebruary 19, 2014 at 10:15 am #226072I have disabled the minify plugin (W3 total cache) and this is where the link goes
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oocy64z8lu3m2wk/Screen%20shot%202014-02-19%20at%209.10.43%20AM.png
still too far up the page.Do you recommend not using w3 cache at all?
I’m not sure how to set it up.
thanks
nFebruary 20, 2014 at 4:39 am #226569Make sure to clear the cache before deactivating the plugin. It will still actually use it even when it isn’t active unless you clear it before deactivating.
February 20, 2014 at 9:23 am #226647the problem is the same – actually it’s linking even further up the page now, even though I have not made any changes.
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/short-doc/
down where it says “see all short & doc films”
???February 20, 2014 at 10:03 am #226655Hi!
I still see the compressed files at the top of the page. If you check the source code you’ll see that your website doesn’t load the uncompressed theme scripts but the compressed version: http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/wp-content/cache/minify/000000/hYxBCoAwDAQ_ZIwVP1TaIJEklKZF_L2CIHryOOzszFNYcC_AlqRnctwclTJHElKy9gGIlqFIPKiOyjbMf-dre_MQ0LlRqeQO2qWxsK09CiR1rHfgMU4.js
Please deactivate W3TC completely for now.
Best regards,
PeterFebruary 21, 2014 at 12:19 am #227122Hi Peter
Thanks – I deactivated it – it’s better but now the title is hidden at the top:
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/films/films-2/#short-docI thought that W3TC was compatible with ENFOLD but maybe I don’t need to use it?
If it’s causing problems I would rather avoid it.
best
NFebruary 21, 2014 at 6:32 am #227289Hey!
I know you did some changes previously to try and fix the anchor location. When you’ve updated the theme recently did you fully write over all changes? Can you try re-uploading the most recent version again just to make sure that its all updated and using the same version we are on.

DevinFebruary 21, 2014 at 10:55 am #227358Hi Devin
I just updated the theme to 2.5.4.
still seeing the problem with the anchor – linking a little too far down.
I don’t have to have this page – can work around it and it’s the only
anchor I am using on the site, but would like to know why it’s a little off still.
