    Hello Kriesi Team

    I have a one-page website with Anchor points to navigate to sections. This works totally fine on Desktop and on Mobile when using the navigation.

    My client now wanted to use a direct link to a section in her WhatsApp status to drive traffic directly to the section.
    Again on Desktop, this works fine. If the link with the Anchor point is clicked it jumps directly to that section. BUT on mobile, it jumps to the last section of the page (Contact).

    I triple-checked all the section names and navigation links and they are all correct and it does work on Desktop? I’ve also deactivated all plugins but that does not make a difference either. Cleared all caches on all devices.

    Hi Corina,

    I typed the anchor link URL in manually on an Android using Chrome, but it scrolls to the correct section there. Is this only happening when navigating to the link from third party platforms like WhatsApp?

    Thanks, heaps. Yes it only happens in WhatsApp & iMessage (haven’t tested other platforms), when I click on the following link

    If I manually add the link to the browser it works.
    It also works on WhatsApp Desktop and iMessage on Desktop. Only on Mobile, it doesn’t work.

    My client would like to add this link to her WhatsApp status to direct someone directly to the ‘news’ section but it always jumps to ‘Contact’ on mobile.

    Hi Corina,

    I could not reproduce the issue on my testing site.

    I duplicated your page and created a test page and on that test page I deleted Easy Accordion Pro sections, chose to display all hidden sections and changed duplicated ID’s but it still does not work as expected.

    Can we temporarily activate parent theme or installing beta version of Enfold on your site?

    Thanks so much for your help. And yes you can, just checked with my customer (she is a candidate for upcoming the local council elections) but she won’t send out links to the website for another week, so most likely traffic will be low and all good. On 17.09.2021 there will be traffic directed to the website.

    Hi Corina,

    I tried de-activating all active plugins except for your security plugin, renamed section IDs and activating parent theme however none of them helped. I tried uploading the latest dev version of Enfold and got locked out due to your security plugin :)

    I will ask my teammates to check as well.

    Hi!

    Thanks for the update.

    Is it working correctly when you temporarily remove the hidden sections (home, top)?

    Adding the following css code might help.

    .responsive.av-no-preview #top #wrap_all .av-desktop-hide, .responsive.av-no-preview #top #wrap_all .av-desktop-font-size-hidden, .responsive.av-no-preview #top #wrap_all .av-desktop-font-size-title-hidden {
	height: 0 !important;
}

    Please do not forget to toggle or temporarily disable the Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css code.
