    Hi!
I’m doing a one-page portfolio. To navigate, I use (because of no other option?!) the color section to produce anchor IDs. Now 2 out of 3 anchors are working just fine, but one is strange:
If I load the site and click on this link, the page scrolls down too far. If I click a second time on this link, the page scrolls where it should go. (Also if I load the page, scroll down a bit manually and then click on the link, the scrolling is OK. So only if if click on the link right at the beginning, when the page was loaded, the scrolling for that one link is wrong).
What can be the solution? Its just a normal color-section, with only a picture inside. I’d prefer to put the content in the color section, so that I can navigate directly to the content instead of scrolling to the picture above the content, but this also didn’t work out…
What can I do to fix this??

    Thanks, Gerald

    Hey ziggy05!

I tried to click both of them, on a Firefox latest version and both are working fine.
can u let me know, where you deal with the issue?

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    hi basilis!
thanks for the reply. i just downloaded firefox and it shows the same behaviour: it scrolls too far! (only when you did not scroll before!)
so i tried it on chrome, IE and firefox. all the same… (Windows 10)
but only for this one color-section (Kontakt). and its funny: if i use the direct link http://www.ivo-rossi-sief.at/ivo-rossi-sief-portfolio/#kontaktbereich then it scrolls ok. only when clicking on the link at the beginning it will not work.

    best, gerald

    hi again!
i tested it on another computer to verify my results and it is the same: “kontakt” and “über den künstler” are scrolling too far down the page when clicked once. when clicked a second time, the page scrolles up to the right position. (now these two menue items are seperated in the site and direct to distinct anchors. still both do not work)
but remember: do not scroll down manually, before you click on the menue!
hope you can reproduce this problem. otherwise i can make a video :)

edit: also some animation-problems appear: the icons from the icon-list are popping up too late (only when scrolled beneath the list) and the link-icons on the bottom to the right do not show up at all when scrolling down to them (only when reloading the page). also other animations (fade in of text, etc) did not work well – they all appeard too late, when scrolled beneath. so i kicked them out again…
edit2: now the icon list is animated correctly. only the icons for the links on the bottom do not show up on their own. strange. probably a preloading-problem?
but the main issue remains the failed anchor scrolling.

    best,
    gerald

the problem is still present – meanwhile 3 out of 5 menue items are affected!! that is really annoying! i made a screencast, as you probably can not reproduce the problem. see the downloadlink for a webm video. menue-item 2, 3 and 4 all scroll too far down! only on a second click, they scroll back to the right position. so only the first and the last menue-items scroll OK! (the last is probably OK, only because it can’t go much further down) probably thats a hint for you.

now scrolling is deactivated when clicking on the link, but it jumps to the right position. (with loading page instead of scrolling). was that me? did’t notice that i canceled scrolling and made a direct jump with loadingpage at some option-setting. or was that some update of you?!?

    Hey!

It is mostly due to any custom CSS added to the header like margins paddings etc… Remove the custom css and activate the scroll and check again.

If the page scroll to correct position then we can try to provide you with alternate CSS.

If not we will need access to your site please create a temporary user with ‘administrator’ role and share in private content with permission to deactivate all plugins and add custom code if necessary to help you resolve this issue.
